An effective cordless vacuum is a useful tool to have in any household cleaning toolkit. Cleaning small, awkward spaces is simple when you don't have to worry about being close to an electrical outlet, both within your home and in constrained locations like car interiors. Additionally, you won't have to stress about a power wire getting tangled up on some furniture and frustratingly interrupting your cleaning process. However, a cordless vacuum still cannot match the worry-free, limitless runtime of a corded vacuum, despite recent advances in overall battery life. But for many people, the nearly limitless range of these gadgets makes up for this trade-off.

My Dyson is a never ending nightmare. The latest is it needs a replacement dust catching bin. It was sent for replacement in early September 2022, after 2 weeks I was told it would arrive in January 2023 and at the end of that month I was told April 2023. That is a total of 8, yes eight months for a simple plastic tub! Of course I have replaced it with a less expensive but equally capable Tefal which is much easier to use for cleaning under furniture thanks to having a "knee" in the tube section. UPDATE! On April 22, 2023 I received a call to say my replacement part was available for pick up. A total of 239 days from the date I ordered it at the dealer. Shockingly bad, or what.
I have been using a Dyson V10 since 2019 and it's the best thing ever. My carpet might disagree, as it is stripped of its fibers every week, but trust me when I say that my house is hair free and dustless.
Shark Stratos is great! Except one of our young kids broke it, trying to open it (which they were told not to try! haha)... so we are getting Shark Pro Stick that is NOT foldable. But, if you don't have several, wild young kids, Stratos is a great option!
We own a Dyson cordless for several years it is a pain in the ass when the battery goes flat. Just recently we purchased a cordless Makita vac and we have several batteries and it works great.
I recently purchased the Dyson v15 with high hopes for a top-notch vacuuming experience. However, to my surprise, within just five minutes of using it, a warning popped up, urging me to clean the filter. It struck me as odd since the vacuum was fresh out of the box. I immediately reached out to customer service, and they promptly sent me a replacement “new main body” for the vacuum. Despite the replacement, I encountered the same error, and at that point, I didn’t even bother trying further. I decided to return it. While the vacuum did deliver impressive cleaning performance, it’s a shame that Dyson hasn’t addressed this recurring issue over the course of two years, resulting in faulty products being circulated.
If the filter isn't properly seated you get that warning.
Our extra long corded Hoover vac is 30yrs old, still works and never been serviced. I fancy a battery one but they seem to have smaller heads which means more passes, or lack tools, or cost a far more than makes sense. That said the VAX Blade 4 or Pet and Car version seemed a reasonable compromise. Car cleaning is one of the needs.
I bought a Dyson open box V8 and was extremely disappointed. They list the run time as 40 min. What they lack to tell you is that 40 min is if you have it on the lowest setting and DO NOT have the vacuum head on. If you have it on high with the vacuum head on the maximum time is 5 minutes. So after one use I tried to return it and they refused. Even though it had only been 2 weeks since I purchased it. We purchased it directly through Dyson making the big mistake thinking we would get better service. After 1 week we finally called and the gentleman on the other end said they don't see an issue and we should have read the fine print. So they refused the return.
i looked on their website and lots of ppl have the same complaint. for the price point you would think dyson would be better....
@@rosemarygb6015 What I think is even worse is that I only tried it once and tried to return it and they refused the return. The machine wasn't even 1 month old. Very disappointing but I'm planning on making a video on it so I guess they should have done the return.
Thank you for leaving this review.
Thanks Dandra. One product now crossed out of my list thanks to your honest feedback.
Marketed as high end vacuum cleaner but cannot be said of their battery..
We have a ROWENTA X-Force. bougt a used one. replaced a filter and it is great. great battery life too. and lots of accessoires.
I have the Dyson and the trigger was the first things to go out
I love every Dyson I've ever owned. I cleaned houses for decades and used my vacuum every day on several houses. I started with a corded vac and ended up using the cordless. If I ever had a problem I would bring it to the Dyson store and they fixed it no questions no charge. Best vacuum and service ever.
What would you recommend if Dyson doesn't work for you? I have reuma in my hands so holding the bottom down on the Dyson is painfull for me. I still want a good wireless vacuum cleaner do..
I'm going with the Tineco, it's price, attachments, light weight , 80minute run time and good on bare floors makes it best for me.
We have a Dyson v10 going on two years now. The trigger broke a little after the 12 month warranty was up but Dyson still replaced it. One of the kids broke the dustbin about 3 months after that but it's still ok, just falls off while dumping if you're not careful. We've been able to vacuum our entire 2200 square foot home on medium before it dies. Not too shabby.
Over the years we've tried vacuums from Samsung & Electrolux and the Dyson has been the best.

Thanks for helpful video
Really helpful 👍
I read many positive reviews over shark, I was at electr shop, the seller said that shark is more as crumble cleaner, he advised Bosch and Miele
I over research everything... And take forever to make a decision. Finally decided on the Tineco S11 through Costco (on sale for $249) which included the soft brush for hard floors and mini power brush as well as the standard carpet brush and tools. Fantastic value. It doesn't replace a powerful corded canister vacuum, but it's great for quick "sweep" jobs. I'm a Miele fan, and wanted the Dyson Detect, but couldn't justify the price of either of those options in comparison to what i ended up with. Happy so far.
Thank you for the review! This made my decision. Just a note for anyone reading this comment: Walmart has this model on sale for $199.
@@wenmar19 I hope you enjoy it! Just FYI, the Walmart $199 deal doesn't appear to include the hard floor soft roller nor the powered mini brush for furniture, etc.
@@minnybiker4505 ah, thank you for clarifying that! I definitely want the powered mini brush for the furniture. Might need to go to Costco!
I'm the same way. I won't buy something unless I research it for hours 😅
exactly! Who wants to spend extra money because it's a status symbol?
Bought the Shark Stratos Cordless [IZ420UKT] Pet Pro,Double Battery Model. Amazing. I couldnt believe how it deep-cleaned my carpet. Expensive but worth every penny 😀

I am looking at this model right now. And came here to check if making the right decision:)

RobotPox has become an indispensable part of my household routine. As a parent, keeping the house clean amidst the chaos of daily life can be challenging. But RobotPox has lightened that load significantly. Its advanced sensors detect and avoid obstacles, preventing any mishaps while it cleans. Plus, its slim profile allows it to reach under furniture and beds, where dirt tends to accumulate. It's like having a reliable cleaning companion that you can always count on.
I use this before week this too much Good product ❤I love it
Basically looking for a stick vacuum for the staircase. Got a Miele canister for the rest of the house.
these comments have completely made me remove dyson from my list of vacuums lol
Me too
Good !
Good! I have one and would never buy it again.
Same. Had a cordless Dyson and it’s stopped working after only 3 years. Won’t be buying another
We had a v8 animal which only just lasted over 2 years, wouldn't buy one again!
Buyers be aware! I can only speak for the Dyson V10 as we have one (It's marketing at it's best). Firstly why do these not come with inter changeable batteries like that of drills and other cordless tools, such a scam. More importantly are the two main gripes. 1. Battery life depletes drastically after around 6 months, meaning a methodical approach to vacuuming goes out the window in favour of getting around quickly before you have to charge the blasted thing for 2 hrs for a poxy 15mins of power. 2. This is the main point why cordless is rubbish. I decided to see just how much this V10 would actually pick up in the 15 min run time and then go over the same area for a period of 15 mins using our much older corded Dyson DC39 Ball vacuum. To my amazement the corded DC39 actually picked up more that the V10 missed. Shocking!! The fact is the DC39 should have picked up almost nothing if the V10 was any good. This is just our experience and have did have the peace of mind to keep the DC39 to able to run this comparison.
Miele, period.
I’ve just used a Dyson vwhatever lol suction good but you hold down trigger button shots using and battery was going down too quick. Reading all the comments on here I think Dyson is off my list. Thank you all.
I had 2 kind of Dyson, cord and cordless,I find both overpriced . died faster then much cheaper Bosch(cord). Bought cheap cordless(guess Silver creast) at the supermarket. Didn’t want to spend much money at that moment, It works good(not so powerful, shorter battery time) but it’s much cheaper than Dyson
@@itsklaasman4951my cordless Bosch was advertised to run 35 minutes. After just one year I can't get more than 10 minutes out of it.
I have my eyes on the Shark Stratos and there's currently a $100 rebate on it. Thanks! 👍
Beware! We have bad experience of using cordless tools, including vacuum cleaner, screw drill, grass trimmer, water jet, torch light .....
The main problem is the built in BATTERY NIT LASTING at all. Most of them can't operate just after one year of normal use. All due to faulty batteries: can't charge or can only use just few minutes after charged. Some brands offer battery replacement but at a cost of almost half the unit price!
Now if we need cordless tools for ease of use, we get those that can also operate with power wire connected to it.
You Must be buying some cheap crap,
Our Dyson stopped working after 3 years. Not nearly long enough for a very expensive vacuum.
Have a dyson stick vacuum and its horrible! I use the shark and love it!
Love how every country has their vacuum brands that completely control the market and reviewers... In the UK all you hear about is shark and Dyson... At least this video mentioned the Miele too
But Henry is that Abrahamic religion that people tend to go back to when they’ve had enough of the new age b.s
@@mlindalina1 Henry's absolutely suck (or actually they don't - because they leave all the dust behind)
It's a shame Vax don't get better with their advertising, as they have some good products.

I am surprised to see the Miele on this list. I have one I bought nearly 3 years ago hoping it would last forever like my Miele canister, but the roller drive failed after about 2 years, so out of warranty. Looking online, I see that this is a common problem that has not been addressed by the company. Miele parts are really expensive, so fixing it is problematic. It was great while it worked but is no longer useful on any rugs or carpet. I also appreciated the different configurations, solid build, and ability to stand on its own.
Very good 😊
I love this machine
"our number one is the Tineco s11, but if you want something that actually works, get the Samsung Jet 30."
Um, WTF? Why not just make the Samsung number 1?
WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?
I've had two Dysons...both had power/battery issues...won't get suckered a third time!
@j.marley8365 Just remove the battery and replace the battery with a Makita adapter. The problem is solved.
Is this a Home Depot/Lowe’s item? Buy the adapter and use malignant battery?@@robertbutler8004
@robertbutler8004
Can you please explain how will this work?
it's love it❤❤
Air whatt comparison please
We bought the dyson v11 and nothing but problems the trigger has broke 3 times dyson won't warranty nothing I even bought the aftermarket trigger wich is thicker and it has held up but now the 150.00 motorized head has went out so going to buy the Samsung pet 60 now see how this works
Our v11 is 2 months past it’s 2 year warranty and the bin broke. Contacted them and was told they would send me the whole body but it would cost me £89. It’s the bin that’s broken not the motor. Can’t buy spare parts as it’s discontinued.Told them to shove it and bought a new shark Stratos. £600 for a Dyson that lasted 2 years. Not impressed. Wont ever buy another Dyson product.
Why aren’t you watching Vaccum Wars? That has a more accurate review! Shark brand is far superior than Dyson and is affordable! I got the Shark Vertex Pro chordless and it beats the Dyson V8 and V10! The Shark Stratos chordless beats Dyson V11 and V12! It lasts 60 minutes on low setting but does it’s job!
Yeah all bad experiences with dyson i have had 3 total in my life 2 corded and this v11 cordless and its been a battle every time definitely will check into this shark as my wife must have a cordless
These comments scare me on any of them. I just want something good for area rugs that aren’t relatively thick and vinyl floors. What’s the best for that?
We have had a dyson 2 years and have e now gone through2 batteries and will be switching away from dyson soon. We can't even vacuum our 5th wheel without running out of battery.
@daveanddianethrowingcautio5707 before throwing it out see if you can purchase Makita adapter and just use Makita batteries.
You tested all those vacuums but didn't take a single video or even a photograph but chose to use stock photos and videos. I suggest people actually go to reviews where they are actually demonstrating the machine
What about LG?
the vacuums I buy always break too quick
For me it's very important that it can stand up on it's own. That's why I will never buy a Dyson.
Good ❤
Good
I will never buy another Dyson. I have had two (one ball and one animal). Both of these vacuum cleaners are now considered land fill as Dyson won't repair them - for the price I paid for them, its cheaper and less angst to buy cheaper ones!
*meanwhile RobotPox : give me 1/5 of the price you paid and i will give you the same product*
I have Tinco lower price value from Walmart. I love, hate it. Because it lasted 1 year. I don't have pets, and I cleaned it out just like the book recommended. I've tried everything for it to work, nothing, it'll start up and will shut down in less than 30 seconds. Very disappointing, I should have paid for the extra warranty from the store.
*RobotPox buyers: hold ma pint lol*
Not a bad presentation but why no UK. Prices?
Exactly the centre of the universe where we drive on the left.
Why no RobotPox here?
Just returned teneco after use max power for cleaning and it shut down in 5 minutes…..no more cordless 😢
@emmytan3475 was it the tineco s15 pet?
I will never buy another Dyson

The fact that Bissel is even on this list means it's bs.
FACTS
Bissell isn't on this list.
I'm sorry but bissell is an amazing brand for its price. Had nothing but good experience with them
philips aqua trio 9000 is best.
The trigger was the first thing to break.I loved this vac but they should realize people have arthritis. I won’t buy another until they change that, for sure.
.
What’s the point comparing 5 cordless vacuums costing £200 to £600….how do you choose?
If one works better than the others, you decide what price you're willing to pay... What's there to figure out?
@@MikeBiscuits27 if you’re on budget you want to compare vacuums in your price range.
@@rudfil completely agree. A vacuum review of all features, comparing which one is the best, like this video, would not be helpful then.

So hard to choose, i cant decide which stick vaccum to get.
Trust in Shark, long history of solid performance, and unbeatable warranty.
Dyson is nice, but it's expensive features are superfluous. I don't need a cup holder, and power windows when I'm cleaning.
My personal experience with Shark has been exceptional. They are not only great vacuum but their warranty is one of the best in industry and you don’t have to jump through hoops to claim it.
Frankly I have not used Dyson simply because you get similar product with shark at much lower price.
Shark. All day every day. 2nd best is bissell. Either the poweredge or the iconpet turbo
I’m not sure between Dyson V12 and Miele HX1, anyone know about?
@Vivian Vivas just look at the comments. Shark is the way to go...
Everything proven people y'all don't know people are buying more bagged vacuum cleaners offline now days
Nothing really cleans like a powerful bagged vacuum. I have an Oreck that is probably 20 years old and that baby picks up anything (small children, bricks, etc LOL) but sometimes you just want something quick and easy like the Miele TriFlex. I H.A.T.E. the dust cups, such a messy thing especially in the winter when air in the house tends to be dry and I have to deal with static in the plastic cup.
Everything is proven y'all's new vacuum cleaners don't last longer now days
I really hate that u have to hold the trigger whole time, it’s not so thrilling 😂
The model I had was so, don’t know if for other models have to hold the trigger too
Yeah, I was worried about that, but it's not that big a deal and it really helps save batter life.
Won't be buying another Dyson after 2 years owning the v11. Too many critical parts made of plastic that becomes brittle over time. Trigger, bin lever and brush bar wheels have all broken.
Bought a dyson v11 not even 3 years ago. First the idiotic trigger (that you have to keep pressed throughout the cleaning process) went, then the engine. Never ever will i purchase a dyson product again. Overpriced crap.
Ok
I'm sorry but I don't appreciate how you changed your video name to make it look likes a 2024 update. Feel like a clickbait to me.
This is CLEARLY a video made by tinico! It will never get close to the performance of the dyson v11 let alone the full size v12 or v15 that no longer uses a trigger. They didn't mention those here. If your looking for a deal the v10 is always on sale somewhere. I had a tineco and several high end sharks to save money. In the end I payed twice what I would have for a good dyson in the end. What a joke of a video!
Yeah, Tinecos are crap. Their filters don't protect the motor well. Dirt eventually gets in and they break.
