- This week we went to our first dealer-only RV auction. It was pretty overwhelming and the prices weren't mind-blowing. Still, I think we got a great deal on our first RV "flip" in time for a quick trip before the holidays.
Our goal is to "road test" the RV and then resell it for a profit to cover our trip expenses. Whether or not the idea will work is still a mystery!

you should have included more of the auction, it would have been interesting to see what some of the ones you showed us sold for, in particular the ones with water damage. anyway I like the video and this series, keep up the good work!
I'm not quite sure what I'm allowed to show. I read the terms of service, but I don't want to push my luck right at the start.
Very curious. Want to see this to the end. Hope to see you soon!
Loving the new videos!! Glad you guys are back!
You cant leave us with this cliffhanger!!! Love you guys. Looking forward to the follow up video. 😁
Ahh!! Your videos are too short.. I love watching your entrepreneurial ventures. Keep it up Mike and Lauren. #inspiration
Looking forward to this adventure!!!
Wow! That was intensifying.
Wow that was a cool video to watch. Never knew how those things went.
Real exciting. I love auctions.
I can't wait to see what you have bought and what the deal is.
I really like how you guys wove fun and profits together on this project. In a natural progression of something you like, travel.
Had a feeling this would make a good video series
Cool.
Awwww man?! Why you gotta leave it on a cliffhanger like that?! 😂🤣
Do you think the scooter has enough power to pull it?!?
What it lacks in power it makes up for in heart.
Hi Mike and Lauren great video I'm really liking the series I h ave a suggestion after you Buy the Rv or 5th wheel or trailer or cab over or van can you do a Complete walk through
Here's a tip. Next time go through all the RV's NADA and all the info on the list prior to walking them. Then break it down that way. Its much more efficient.
Please I have a question that I believe you can help me with
I am also just starting out as an RV dealer at the Lakeland Manheim Auction can you use a floor plan for the RVs your answer will be greatly appreciated for any help and information thank you great video by the way
Hey If you get a driveable Motorhome from IAA or Copart can you drive the motorhome across the state lines back home. If so what kind of paperwork do you need?
I use to buy at iaai and I would just part the campers or boats out for some nice extra money.
I have a quick question hoping that you could answer I am in Lakeland Florida and also just starting with my RV dealer license can you use a floor plan at Manheim Auction for the RVs
I think you guys make great videos. My wife is in the RV industry for many years and it can be tricky. If you guys have any questions, she would be willing to answer and help out. Good luck!
What does she do in the industry?
@@MikeAndLaurenTV Although, not near you, she has worked in there service side of a large dealership in KY, and is currently the Warranty Manager.
I Instagram messaged you with her contact if wanted.
That zoom tho....
They don't call me "Mr. Hollywood" for nothin'
ended on a cliff hanger... oooooooo
Now if you get really serious you need to buy the software that shows all the Auction prices for a particular model.
what auction is this?
Next time bring a camelback. Gotta stay hydrated out there Mike! How many steps did you log that day? Whew! Congrats on the new adventures.
What site did you purchase from?
What's the name of the auction
I would call it a "Lauren & Mike stamp of approval" vs. a guarantee. Ya know - legal reasons and all.
So $16000 for a trailer RV with Anderson hitch. If two bathrooms it is got to be 8000 pounds so you will need a F250 to tow it typically. Guess you had to buy an Anderson hitch fast and install. If this was 2017 or 2018 then it’s a relatively good price. Hope you can make $5000 profit all said and done. Just don’t understand how though given market competition. - looking forward to more feedback on the adventure.
Dead on. Down to the last detail. "How" is the big question. I picked this unit because if we can't sell we'd be happy keeping it semi long term and our savings covered our startup costs. If it sells within 45 days then we move on to the next one!
I agree in that year 2017 it could be a bargain for someone after you tidy it up minimally. We bought a used small LANCE TT older at 2013. Mostly because the LANCE company will still support it with all the small parts. But same price you paid. There are improvements every year. Love your process. It will work out well.
GRAZ
pumped? you think they faked another bid to get you bid again?
That’s what my friend who buys around 40 cars a week says. It’s possible they did that to meet the floor so it wouldn’t matter but you never know.
how could you have saved $1000?
Never! ever! ever! buy an RV with water damage unless you want a total headache and lose money!
First!
Specialise in the smelly ones and learn how to clean.
That or water damage. Definitely a possibility.
