"I gave you my life"
It hit me she was still as young as 14 when she starts relationship with Elvis. She really gave her life away for him.
Hence why she need to be free in away Elvis could never be. Look at how they are dress Priscilla is dressed for now the 1970's current life and Elvis is dress like a shadow from the 1950s with a lot more colour. Elvis was trapped by drugs and bloodsuckers.
She was 18 when they forced him to be with her. They just met and barely interacted when she was 14, since he thought she was another fan.
@@user-golden-rhapsody5915 he is a pedo bro dont down play it
Other than the fact that she loved him why didn't she just not date him? She didn't have to give him her life. Fourteen is so young to start dating and you think you won't change but ppl usually do. She barely got to explore her life at all before she settled down with him.
@@brianawhittaker8152 Well, she was young, soooo young. She may not exactly thinking she would give her life to him right away as they started dating, but you know how easy to mold young people to thr point they believe that their life is just how people around them told to.
Maybe she was simply just that small minded and only realized that when she was mature enough to understand the world.
I feel so bad for Priscilla, she had to bury her (ex) husband, then her grandson and then her daughter
Priscilla was not there when Elvis Presley was being buried Vernon and Elvis's family members as well as the Memphis Mafia buried him
And now her granddaughter is suing her. It's just crazy. It just goes to show you that money isn't everything I hate when people say that. Oh she's rich and beautiful so she has a good life. Rich and beautiful people have problems in their lives too.
What do you think would've happened if Priscilla didn't leave Elvis in the first place?
@@SomethingSomethinggThat's not what happened. Priscilla sued, not Riley. And money is exactly what it was about because that's all she got out of the settlement.
Well this scene just about broke my heart into many pieces and they say he didn't love her that he loved Ann and on and on.well he did love her but he had to loose her to c what he lost was to late tcb forever ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

After she cheated herself with Mike Stone and went off with him.
@@WillHoward2002 Which was way *after* Elvis had begun *neglecting* her in the early 70s, when fame and success at The International was starting to take its toll. Not just the women he slept around with, but drugs and egos too. As Priscilla nailed it in this scene: _"you wouldn't even make love to me."_ She was not even 30 years of age ... and in the prime of her life. Elvis really only had himself to blame here for messing it up with Priscilla the way he did. She was loyal and faithful to him.
@victorsamsung2921 he was so lost in drugs and had been womanizing for years he had nothing left to give Priscilla.

It’s crazy how different this is from the scene in the priscilla movie
Priscilla doesn’t always have control over the perception she is trying to convey. So much gets mixed up. But this legacy in 2023 is seriously wounded and fragile.
Fr I have no idea which scene I should believe, maybe the Priscilla movie since it’s based on her book but who knows if its that accurate
@@noodledaddy3234 yeah I’m inclined to believe Priscilla, especially since she did not write that book with malicious intent towards Elvis, which means she really wouldn’t be gaining anything by lying about it ig. But there really is no way of knowing

The hypocrisy is real because the movie not only wasn't nominated out of 10 slots, it wasn't embraced by Hollywood at all because of its fat phobia, fat suit and morbidly obese stereotypes, but they embraced Fraser. That makes no sense since all of that runs through him. And those who are morbidly obese hated it even worse.

alternative Bonnie and Clyde relationship
“When you’re forty and I’m fifty we’ll be back together, you’ll see.” So tragic that “tomorrow” never gave. Bless you, Elvis.❤
You can hear the music of "Can't help falling in love with you" in the background. It's almost like parallelism, despite the relationship having gone wrong. Then it's irony. It just brings it home to you.
“If I stay I’ll never leave”
Wow .
I believe Priscilla loved Elvis to pieces and yes both had issues. But EP literally surrounded by the 'Memphis Mafia' 24/7 would no doubt place a strain on the marriage because two people especially married would want 'alone time' together or a break from touring. Not to mention that a number of EP's friends' marriages ended in divorce because of their attachments at the hip to Elvis.
Between partners you really need to know when you both reached the end, only wish EP had done the same with Parker.
I feel so deeply sad for each of them in this scene. Both had issues that screamed out for repair, but tragically, his existential issues, primarily the drugs and their effect, no one truly helped him with (the enablers and bloodsuckers), and others simply did not know how to help him. Bless you Elvis. So many did wrong by you. Miss you.❤
This is one of the best scenes of the movie. So well played by both actors. Sad that Priscilla's role was not as praised as Elvis's.
My gosh, this scene hit me so hard. After this point and until the end, I was officially bawling my eyes out. It's in my top favorite movies. Austin Butler was phenomenal. I love it so much ❤️
Yeah brilliant actor yes BUT this never happened ELVIS just kicked her out Couldn’t wait to get rid of the Gold Digger
Beautifully acted scene by both actors.
Actor and Actress not actors
One of the saddest scenes in the movie - such brilliant acting - I feel their sadness…
I know the feeling. I gave so much to my marriage. Took care of the children alone while he didn't come home after work. Instead hung out with guys. He had the car. I took the kids and booked a flight out while he was at work. I forgot about me. I was so happy to be free. When he saw me he got mad and said ,You had to leave me to look like that?
Then what happened? Sorry I’m so curious 😢
@@nbm8758you should’ve “exactly that”
Please tell me you're happy now. And sorry you went through so much
Oh how tragic, he went out with his friends. Meanwhile, women be cheating with their “friends”, bosses, and acquaintances while her husband is working and when the husband divorces, SHE takes most of the earnings. I swear, women leave for the most simple reasons.
@@ilikepancakes2368you clearly didnt understand a thing she said. The problem is that he wasnt fulfilling his duties as a husband. He may be paying the bills and working but it just seemed like he was married to his friends and didnt care about his WIFE. She was basically a single mother while being married. Like what did he do to make her want to stay? He stopped putting the effort so why stay? Like make it make sense. Women actually stay for too long and its sad. So glad she left cuz she clearly is too much for him and deserves better.
You dont see that level of emotion these days but the crying part got me and to see him actually cry & sound like hes crying is amazing acting
This was such a sad scene. Austin Butler does a convincing performance. It’s like Elvis was clueless with what Priscilla was feeling.
Elvis just was not there in his own life. He was a ghost. He lived to perform as that is what the Colonel had drug trained him to be.
My heart still bleeds for Priscilla
Yeah I don't understand why their relationship is so romanticized. Elvis groomed her since she was 14. Her parents allowed her to be with him because he was a famous celebrity by then. Their marriage was forced because other women had dirt on him that threatened to come out if he didn't marry Priscilla. They had a child yet he was still cheating on her after that.
@@IBeMelissa it’s only glamorized because they’re iconic - like Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson.
Their relationship is "so romantized" because they were the most famous couple in the world at one time! I believe Priscilla .. fame drove them apart and I don't believe either of them truly loved again. There was no such thing as grooming back then and Elvis was attracted to her looks, his ideal type, she remained a virgin until they married and had their baby nine months to the day they married!

He deserved his Oscar well done.
If only he had realised the damage he was inflicting on himself and his family. Drugs will always become the most important part of your life because you believe you can't do without them and by the time you get to that stage its usually too late....
@ELVIS-2022 what ever your addicted to will become the most important thing in your life in fact it becomes your life it becomes more important than your family and friends For some people it's alcohol and for some it's gambling for Elvis it was prescription drugs .
@ELVIS-2022 Elvis's father was worried the Tom Parker would demand three million dollars as compensation from Elvis if Elvis fired
him. And Vernon was terrified of being poor again and Parker would manipulate Vernon's fears. In the end Elvis became Parkers workhorse paying off Parkers massive gambling debts.

She started dating a Karate expert named Mike Stone, who trained with Chuck Norris and Bruce Lee. Elvis hated that guy so bad, he even asked Red and Sonny west to go over and kill him. They were very nervous about it, thinking of a way to talk Elvis out of it but they didn't have to because Elvis came to his senses before they did and told them he was just talking out of anger and to forget it.

Austin you were amazing as Elvis. 👍👍👍👍👍
Elvis was everything to Priscilla she loved him so much despite the fact that he courted her at 14 when he was in his late 20s 😢
He was 24 actually but they did get married when she was an adult
@jaelayala7248...Elvis never "courted" her. She begged Currie Grant to introduce her to Elvis. He did leave Germany 3 months later to return to Hollywood. She wrote and begged him to bring her over to the states even though he was engaged to Anita Wood. He finally did when she was 17. After that he was stuck. He was forced to marry her and he even tried to leave her when she was 6 months pregnant but the colonel made him return. Finally, she started her own affairs 3 months after Lisa was born. I think they had a few good years but Elvis should have never married.
Who starts an affair three months after giving birth? Aren’t moms exhausted at that point? She knew Mike Stone had a pregnant wife and a two year child and didn’t care.
@Elizabeth-dw6lc In fact, Priscilla during interviews has admitted even through EP wanted a family and children she believes deep down he could never commit to having a family life.

Their relationship was doomed from the start. Mostly because she had no idea who he REALLY was. When she met him she was a CHILD and he was a famous grown man who had so many unresolved issues. THAT in and of itself is where it should have ended. Her parents should have ended it. But they allowed her to go live with the man. The tap dancing he did to make them think that was in any way a good idea for her must have been something to hear...

To think that this very moment in reality was 50 years ago. In a few weeks it’ll be 50 years to the day since their divorce became official at the Santa Monica courthouse. (It’s 9/14/2023 as I post my comment.)
Furthermore, In Priscilla’s memoir “Elvis and Me,” where she wrote about leaving Elvis, where Elvis asked her “Have I lost you to another man?” she replied “No, it’s not that; you’ve simply lost me to a life of my own. We’re living and leading separate lives.” Still, whether he had lost her to someone else or not, it was plain she truly had had it with him, his infidelity. Typical of star musicians, especially if they’re already married it seemed; their marriage can never hold a candle to all that sweet praise and applause from all the women in the audience. Like Priscilla was even trying to tell Elvis from the VERY beginning, when for example rumor had it he was seeing Nancy Sinatra, “Elvis, you either love me or you don’t,” and likewise after they got married. He was either going to be a good husband or he wasn’t, and he simply chose not to be. And Priscilla had had it with him, had had quite enough.
You’re absolutely right. But might I also note that not everything was simply affairs and fame. It was said that the first girl he truly fell for intimately and not just “takes out of school” was Natalie Wood- but Colonel thought she was too big of a star for him already. And then another woman he genuinely loved was Ann Margaret. So it’s almost as if he was filling the void with affairs for three women rather than Cilla- even though Cilla was his wife and whom he loved at the time. And I just think that’s so sad for both of them.
I want to give him a hug

I never stopped loving him--even now--but I had to leave. I wouldn't have stayed sober myself if I didn't. Sober since 05 Mar 2017
It is so sad to see him like this 😢 🙏
Finally we saw Elvis Presley's private bedroom but it's a replica in the movie so no problem on that...
Masterpiece......
He had it coming.
Such a great scene I'm disappointed it didn't win a oscar
This scene was extremely inaccurate. In Priscilla’s autobiography she says she sat down quietly next to Elvis’s bed and explained how she needed to find herself, it wasn’t just about her need to be loved or her issues with other women it was mainly, about herself and wanting to live her own life. The two were tender with eachother and gentle almost through out the entire process of the divorce. She still loved him.
I get this scene was inspired and mainly to get the point across about their failing relationship but it paints Priscilla as just an exhausted housewife who just didn’t want to stick around anymore. It wasn’t just that. And it takes away the entire process of her self discovery and HER personhood, in order to make Elvis look like a victim or hurt.
I honestly wouldn't blame she married him when she was so young too young.
@@yesthatmousyiris4887 She was 22…she was old enough to understand what she was getting herself into. And considering this took place in the 60’s her age was perfect for marriage.

Kurt facecial wise looked more like him but acting wise they bith did an amazing job. In Kurt's film he didn't sing any of the songs that was Rodney Mc Dowell who sang in that one. In Elvis 2022 Austin sang in all the early performances and in the later ones they blended Elvis and Austin together. As matte if fact the 1st movie acting roll Kurt Russrl had was when he was a little boy and he played the boy who kicked Elvis in the shin for a quarter in the movie It Happened At the World's Fair. I think these 2 actors were the best ever to portray Elvis.
It's is absolutely heartbreaking.
Makes me cry every time I see this scene and movie ELVIS
Just did a movie analysis on this movie. 💐 This topic is more important then most people think! I hope women will get themselves educated and leave an abuser before it is too late 🌹❤️🌺
I cry
Yes already
They loved each other. He just had so much going on and so much baggage
God bless ❤.
Austin crushed it 👌
narrated by Priscilla: She felt deeply attracted to the dance teacher (1968), known simply as Mark in the book, confesses to having committed adultery, and narrates "Elvis did not meet my physical and emotional needs". She implies regret, however, saying, "I came away from it realizing I needed a lot more from my relationship with Elvis." Priscilla unintentionally delivers another truth with her book, that being that Elvis made a really bad decision among many bad decisions in sharing his life with Priscilla.
Dance teacher? Karate! Mike Stone!
Awe!
i watch this at school during 4th period and start crying
Reminds me of the day I had to make the choice to get clean from drugs walking out on my addict husband because he wasn’t ready to get clean himself. Hardest thing I’ve had to do. Knowing there was that chance he’d choose drugs over our marriage. 6 months into my recovery he finally hit rock bottom and decided to get help. We’re going on 4 years clean
I’m so happy and proud of you both I hope you both have 90 more years of being sober and happy
I pray for a lifetime of clean, happy and healthy years for you both. ❤️
Priscilla's dad was Elvis major in The Army, he gave Elvis pills so he can stay awake on night shifts 🥺😬😢
Now Who is to blame for Elvis drug addiction?
The person who chooses to say, 'yep, I'll take those drugs', and proceeds to ingest them.
The difference between the Priscilla and Elvis movie is so fascinating. I’m this movie Priscilla is angry at Elvis while she’s leaving him, which could mirror what Elvis saw in his eyes, in the Priscilla movie she’s upset when leaving him, which is what she saw in her eyes
He's so called friends. Taken what they knew he was on. I could see. It was getting back from the small man of the group.
The Divorce scene is literally the most painful scene in the film, because as we all know they call it quits due Elvis can handle his Drug Addiction
I wonder if this really happened? Elvis moved on very easily...
No no and more no
According to those around him he was very upset. You can move on physically, that doesn’t mean you move on emotionally. Elvis couldn’t be alone. He had already left Priscilla emotionally, she left him physically. He admitted he ruined his marriage due to his career and lifestyle, it wasn’t because they didn’t love each other.
He wrote a song about her always being on his mind. And they held hands leaving the court settling their divorce. I’d say from that alone elvis was pretty hurt by the breakup.
@@xxitactical_8723 Elvis didn’t write, “Always on my Mind.” The song was written by Wayne Carson, Johnny Christopher, and Mark James. Elvis wasn’t a songwriter. He did sing a song called, “Its Midnight” where he says listen Cilla. That was in 1974 after their divorce.

“Listen, Cilla”
Maybe it's too late. Sometimes I even hate myself for loving you
Trying to be strong then nighttime comes along and I start loving you
Wanting you. Where is all my self control I'm burning way down in my soul
And needing you, and wishing I could be the man, I try to
Hating me for wanting you to be with you knowing you don't love me like you used to
But it's midnight, Oh and I miss you
It's getting late and I know that's when I am weak
Funny how things have a way of looking so much brighter in the day light
I ought to go to bed to try and straighten out my head and just forget you
Oh but it's midnight yes and I miss you

Jesus I didn't expect to cry😂
You shall not covet what belongs to everyone. Leave the stump in the middle of the ground alone❤
After watching Priscilla, I think this version of the scene was much more powerful.
Different directors. Different styles
This is different from what Priscilla said in the movie Elvis & Me. The book was different too.
