I completed some kitchen chairs, the chalk paint and wax look great! Now how do I clean them? Is there a recommended product to clean away food items and that build up of oil off your hands? We've had these chairs 23 years and hope to another 23! Thanks. Do I go back in a year or so and re-apply the wax?

What paintbrush do you recommend? I get brush strokes with mine, maybe I need to get a different one, thank you!
Are you using chalk paint? Using a water mister While your chalk painting helps so much with reducing or even eliminating brushstrokes. I used a cheap Wooster short cut brush from Home Depot for the longest time. It’s a really great option if you don’t want to spend a lot of money. If you can order a specialty Brush though I really like the Dixie Belle mini And I’ve heard the Zibra Palm pro is pretty great too. I’ve been experimenting with brushes and the next one I’m trying is one of the staalmeester brushes. Brushes can be expensive but Wooster and Zibra are affordable and Can be found at local hardware stores.

It drives me nuts when the hardware isn't removed. I would take it off and paint the doors/shelves individually. I had a car repainted and he didn't even take off the license plate or paint the inside of the hood. Same feeling.

Do you sand between polyurethane coats?
I don’t. I usually do a light sanding With a sanding pad or sponge after applying my chalk paint before I add my sealer.
That is an amazing transformation....beautiful. I noticed it looked like you were painting indoors. Did you use a painters drop cloths or anything? I am just getting started and don't know what to use to protect my floors.
Thank you! I use drop cloths for the most part now! If you use water-based paint it’s easy cleanup, but anything oil-based it’s a nightmare. A drop cloth is my go-to.

Would have looked much more professional, had you not painted the door hinges. I would definitely have taken the doors and then the hinges off. Then reinstate when everything is dry.
