What A Raw Vegan Eats In A Day | Full Day Of Eating

Sdílet
Vložit
  • čas přidán 4. 10. 2018
  • To summarize my meals for the day:
    1) 1.25 quarts smoothie: 6 bananas, 1 date, 2 Tbs chia seeds, 2 Tbs hemp seeds
    2) 1 Large Pineapple (aprox. 1200 grams)
    3) 1.5 quarts green Juice: 1 bunch celery, 1 bunch parsley, 1 bunch cilantro, 1 cucumber, 2 apples, 2 inch ginger, 2 inch turmeric, 1 lemon
    4) Salad: 1 pound of greens, sunflower sprouts, 1 cucumber, 1 apple, 2 tomatoes, 1/2 avocado, 2 Tbs sunflower seeds, 1 cup sprouted lentils. Dressing: 2 Tbs hemp seeds, 1 lemon, 2 Tbs apple cider vinegar, 1 date, seasoning.
The main thing to note here is that I am not hungry after this day of eating. I am 100% satisfied as I have been raw vegan for about a year at this point. With a lot of cleansing and detoxing behind me I have been able to feel satisfied from lighter and lighter raw food. Keep in mind this day was still about 2500 calories which completely satisfies my caloric needs for the day including lots of physical activity. If you are new to a raw vegan diet this might seem like a small amount of food that will leave you hungry but after enough time on a raw diet I assure you it will not leave you hungry.

      Awesome 👍
I personally do 90% raw in the summer and 75 to 80% in the winter.
My metabolic rate tends to low below and I get cold very easily and I prefer having some cooked lentils or quinoa with some vegetable soups and barley tea with chicory root in the winter to stay Warm
Common Sense to change a bit with our sessions is My Moto 🙏

That salad and dressing look delicious. I’m 63. Vegan for 8 years now. I started my raw journey about a year ago. I’m going to make that dressing and start growing sunflower sprouts outside. I’m surprised your kitty doesn’t eat them. I tried growing them indoors many years ago, but my kitty kept eating them. 😊

I eat more or less in a day ,same as you,and I feel so good and light. Before gym I get a huge smoothie too,but I add more to it to increase my caloric intake (4-5 bananas,2mangoes, blueberries, 6figs, 6 dates, flaxseeds, hempseeds, chia seeds, almond powder, dessicated coconut, maca, cacao, camu camu and baobab.)
Your sprouts are amazing ,I sprout time to time fenugreek and alfalfa seeds.

Thank you Shane! I so appreciate your videos and your teachings. I’m going to do this meal plan today and let you know how it goes. I’ve been raw vegan for six months (three years on and off) but because of blood sugar issues I kept keeping the fats down but I realize that’s not the problem. I’m thinking I have to introduce more greens as that should fix the problem. Thanks brother!!

samiya7 Haha! Yeah it’s different from day to day but I notice the longer I am raw the less I “need” to eat to sustain my weight and health. For me it also greatly depends on my exercise for the day. If I work out I definitely eat more calories. Congratulations on wanting to go raw! It really is a great lifestyle for health but it takes some adjustments. You might even gain weight on 100% raw, or at least reach your ideal body weight. Sometimes cooked foods, even vegan foods, will inhibit proper digestion, absorption and assimilation. If you’re just starting raw though, yes eat a ton and track calories! Much love and success to you! 🙏❤️

Subscribed, thank you for your videos! They are very informative and comforting. I have been vegan for a long time but transitioning to raw vegan as it just feels right. I admit that I panic a bit about getting enough of everything and not overeating or overspending. Is it better to have more greens or fruit? I tend to have mainly fruit with some celery in the morning (blended) then fruit and nuts/seeds for lunch and then mixed veg and avocado for dinner. lots of water. Any thoughts?

    • @RawVeganRising
      @RawVeganRising  Před 4 lety +1

jenny fuller-peard Hi Jenny, you have to find what works for you. It’s a balancing act in the early stages. In one way doing what feels best can make it emotionally easier but following a stricter style of 80/10/10 can help you master the raw vegan diet sooner. I personally stuck to 80/10/10 for a year or more before I started having more fats. Now I’m probably more like 70/20/10. My best advice is to cleanse the body! Continue to focus on detoxification and you’ll naturally gravitate toward lighter, fresher, healthier food. I wish you much success on your journey! Much love to you! 🙏❤️

Yes but high blood sugar is not caused by carbohydrates. Its caused by high fat in the diet. Fat in the blood creates insulin resistance so the sugar is not utilized by the cells properly. High carb can actually completely reverse and heal diabetes when the fat and processed foods are removed form the diet. The key is whole food. Raw fruits and vegetables will always be optimal for health because thats how our biology is designed.

To be honest I find that I don't really need to drink much water on a 100% raw vegan diet. I focus primarily on the highest water content foods I can and i also make fresh juices. I believe plain water is not easily utilized by our body and we will excrete most of it out our urine. Fruits and vegetables are a much better source for hydration. I do however use distilled water when I do consume water.

Why would you count nutrients if NOBODY knows how much you need! Except your body so listening to our intuition is the only way :)
BTW: Old age? Are you joking? Our body is repairing itself all the time and we are able to live for much more then 150y, actually there are people in russian taiga living for 5000 years but they are not willing to contact civilisation and must be silent about it. Hair is also elimination organ that's why people get gray so fast these times from meat and dairy. I was gray already at my early 20 and now after 2 years of veganism, mostly fruit only I managed to get back to colored hair again at my 40yo, not mentioning my body age, so the aging may only start from our desire, meaning the end of our mission here to continue in different body on different planet :) It's also limited or sped up by our beliefs, so let's get AYAP (as young as possible) :)

Betzi, which do you create first the time freedom to have the lifestyle you want or does living the lifestyle you want create the time freedom? Certainly when we live in integrity with our highest vision for ourselves then conditions that don't fit into that vision simply can't exist. One of the amazing effects of a raw vegan diet is that it will remove the blocks that keep you in a life you are not happy with. Detoxification actually heals past abandonment trauma, abuse trauma and rebuilds our self worth that allows us to create a life of abundance and beauty in spite of all the self doubt. I would say the quickest way to a better job, more time freedom, more money freedom is to cleanse your body deeply on raw food along with proper mentoring. It literally will change your life experience and the circumstances you find yourself in. When the brain is free to create a new vision for your future it always finds a way. This is the mentoring and mindset work that I help people with specifically. I am always available to assist in any way I can. Please reach out in an email.

@@RawVeganRising ok. I'm sure I could use help. I am a teacher of children in poverty and I do spend my life in service. I love my vocation and it is a calling for me. It does take around 9 to 10 hours a day to effectively reach all my kids..i don't see this vocation ever bringing more money though. I don't think any diet would cut down on the time but it might help me be more productive. I certainly do get tired and I'd like to have more energy. I live on the east coast in a rural community where it is cold now... w little access to organic food and few fruits. I can tell from what i learned in your video that I hav too many nuts too early in the day and then hav fruits too soon after. So I need to change to fit your order of eating better. I can see that this is causing problems for me. So thank you for all this information. I really appreciate it.

@@betzib8021 I'm so glad you're learning from the videos and thank you for your support! No diet is going to directly affect how many hour you work or how much money you make but a diet can help change the way you see yourself and how you feel about yourself. This has a profound effect on the type of life we live. Every choice we have ever made has gotten us exactly where we are so when we feel different we make different choices and get different results. What I see for you is being of even more service to the impoverished. If you were in your total power and abundance you could start a center to help families and children. You could be the director of the center and work less hours but make more of a difference by hiring talented people to do all the educating and all the outreach. There is always ways to make more of a difference and have more of our own needs met at the same time. A raw vegan diet sets us up for the journey of discovering true win-win in our lives.

    so unnatural lol.

So what is natural then? Survival food like potatoes and meat? Certainly we are not optimally feeding ourselves with meat and potatoes considering the northern cultures who rely heavily on animal products have an early life expectancy and die with bone density loss and arthritis. Obviously there is nothing more "natural" than whole food unprocessed by humans. What's very unnatural though is our addiction to food that creates waste and disease in the body. Besides, unless you have tried a raw vegan diet and have something to compare yourself I don't think you are qualified to speak on the topic, otherwise your opinion is simply speculation and projection and not experience.

Wait, aren't tubers like potatoes allowed on a raw vegan diet? They're pretty high in carbs and contain almost no fat. They also contain lots of soluble fiber which feed our good bacteria to produce SCFAS.
