1:20 wheels in head are turning..seeking patterns...1:30 Neural chemicals turning into kinetic energy...2:00 Kinetic energy converted to sound energy... 2:30 "imperfect" effort generates embarrassment, rest of world stands agape. Fascinating to watch.
Alright, calm down, Doctor Mordin.
We need you back on the Normandy.
I was gonna comment the same thing. Glad someone else picked up on it.
I love Sonya attitude. "It doesn't have to be perfect" (Tom) "yes it does!" (Sonya)
Perfect maybe. But maniac with perfection in a level of pathological madness no.
What is this who did you sell your soul to for these mystical piano powers
Damn, I mean, I can play the Cantina song too, but I had to look the tabs up and learn it. She pulls it outta her ass in seconds and even adds a little "The Entertainer" like touch to it. Much Respect! We're not worthy!
We have goosebumps... this was so amazing to watch! #music

She's great, she should do a duo with Lindsay Stirling! Just a thought.
+Juan Jaimes That's what I thought the second after I heard her first video.
I wonder if that's ever going to happen?

Hell yeah ! Amazing ! :)
Holy cow, the slowed down Castlevania tune was massively moving.
Came down to the comments to say this, essentially. That track is part of the internal soundtrack to my brain and my life. Hearing that interpretation was a revelation. Thank you so, so much. I hope to hear a full version someday.
I am truly impressed, if this is really on the spot and therefore legit. Playing with such great detail just from listening to the piece once, is just the most amazing skill i have ever seen!
I wonder why she isn't more famous!
Please do more! These videos are AH-mazing!
Wow che passione e che Talento puro. Auguri💚💚💚💚💚
THIS IS SO AWESOME!! :)

Loving the ragtime feel to the Cantina theme!
She is a brilliant wow!!
damn... wow, really. sonya is just beautiful and amazing. keep up the great work!!
Sonya, you're amazing! Wish I could listen to you play all day~
Omg, this is amazing. It takes me at least a week to do an arrangement, and that's just for the melody.
love it
A full Cantina cover would be amazing ;; Really love the rendition Sonya did!
I do this for my friends too!!! They're always amused that I can arrange by ear on the spot. It's a lot of fun :)
Lang Kuoch that's amazing!
I tried to do that once, and it took me like an hour to figure out the melody for right hand... Do you have to be like super familiar with the piano theories and all that stuff to arrange by ear?
Sean's Piano Hmm, not necessarily, but I do think you have to have a good foundation with your major/minor chords and chord progression.
It's definitely not going to be easy the first couple of times you do it, but once you start playing by ear/transcribing on the spot more it becomes as easy as reading sheet music. Having a strong relative pitch will help you immensely (this will really help with figuring out melodies--it helps your ear strength!) and also, just knowing the song you're about to transcribe beforehand can help a lot.
If I'm about to transcribe a song I've heard a trillion times on the radio, I've already subconsciously learned the chord progression and the melody, and it's much easier to try and replicate on the piano. If I haven't heard it at before, it's like learning something completely out of left field and it takes a bit more time to get it right.
Hope that wasn't too much info. Cheers!
It also helps if you have a natural tendency to recognize not just the pitch of each note, but how it fits with the other notes. Similar to perfect pitch, but more towards being able to hear how the notes harmonize and come together.
that was beautiful talent :)
Your ear training and synthesis is fantastic! This is so impressive. Well done!
So awesome! Looking forward to Duel of the Bumblebees!
Wow. Just wow... how did you miss the Mortal Kombat theme? ;) Oh, and that was amazing :D I can't wait to see what you guys come up with for full production videos!
I learned of Sonya from The Witcher Netflix series and it’s amazing to see some of the piano / composing “roots” here!!
BRAVO!!!!! MANUFIQUE!!!!
Well that was pretty amazing
Hah, did not expect the cantina song, brilliant. Frozen arrangements still get me every time. Great stuff!
Her hand movements are so clean
Look, I get it's been 2 years since this video was posted, but please do a full version of Bloody Tears! That was fantastic! I need a full version in my life.
awesome
It is not often that I am impressed. It is not often that I am at a lack of words. Right now, I am so impressed that I am at a lack for words. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
you should get out more often.
Wow. all were great.. but the Let it Go was EPIC! Would love to see a full video on it! PLEASEEEE :P
Thanks for taking my suggestion, that was awesome!
Hahah! Thanks for suggesting it!
Thanks! That was Fantastic!
You pronounced my name correctly :)
Sana Qureshi Huzzah!
She's amazingly talented. Truly a Pianist
Bloody Tears! Great choice on songs, guys. :) This makes me want to start playing again. I need a piano, though.
OMG!! This is absolutely AMAZING!! If you decide to do another on the spot.. I think a broadway themed one would be awesome :)
She is amazing. My old Guitar Teacher could do the same thing; Listen to a song once and be able to play it, no matter what it was.
[Edit:] Not just the Guitar parts, but any tune you could bring to him.
This is great :)
The mad respect I have for this woman, you can see the fire in her eyes, the lust for greatness!
Impressive, most impressive xD I'm amazed how good an "ear" Sonya has!!
You can also see the passion Sonya play, esp when playing Let It Snow... Amaz-wait for it-ing!
love all the arrangements! Thanks again for inspiring us! I really have a bad day and I just watch all your videos and it made me better.. Thank you! You're so talented! Keep up the good work! It's not necessary for you to play it perfectly because most of us already accept your arrangements as PERFECT! :)
genial.voce tem muito talento,congratulation
I am young and I play piano. You inspire me to become a grate pianist like you. Q
What a talent she has 🖒
No lie this is amazing I sure hope you due a full length one for Frozen and maybe some of the Star wars songs!
This reminds me of the story of the piece "miserere mei deus" that was created exclusively for use in the Sistine Chapel. The story goes that a young Mozart heard it on a trip to Rome and wrote it down from memory. His version was so close to the original that he was praised by the pope at the time. Really beautiful piece.
You should be my piano teacher Awesome Job Sonya.
she is so talented to get most of it by ear
Você é a melhor! Um beijo do Brasil! Sou seu fã!
she plays the mk theme so elegantly I like it. wish I heard more
what a beautiful mind.
i love the way you play the piano it feels like you're a source of life. do you think anyone can get to your level of experience? and how much do you think it needs?
That Mortal Kombat theme though...
Some of these tunes I spend months learning and she goes and does it 10x better than me on 3 seconds I feel pathetic
Hi Alex , Good, good.
Let the hate flow through you.
Well, she spent 20 years learning piano to be able to do it in 3 seconds
Well its not just learning it. She was named a piano prodigy at the age of 13. She has perfect pitch and is a miracle. I can promise you, not even 0.001% of the world population will be able to pull such things of, even after 20 years of practice. Further more you are only able to get the ability of perfect pitch in you first 18-24 month of your live
@@benny3028 18-24 months? And you say this just now? I'm late.
I want to learn playing by ear. it looks south fun.
it's also kind of hard to believe it's played by ear lol. it's so good
Amogh Kaushik she is literally a prodigy. check her Wikipedia page
