But no big Hindu resistance was seen in Hindu society for sati pratha - because it was actually not practiced - it was highlighted by the British to show Hindu in bad lights, even where these were practiced - it was due to other reasons of the atrocities committed by the Arabic Deen believers. Comparison of this should be done with the kind of opposition you are seeing from the Muslim public, if they are not practicing them, then what is their problem in accepting these laws - saying it is forced on them, it will be forever be forced on them like the law of killing kafir can be leagal under Shariyat but it is not so in the laws of Bharat

If there is no uniform civil code it will be a discriminatory society with uneven rules for individuals for being born to a religion for no fault of theirs! Such an act should be in place without delay to support individuals on equal terms! Abusive rights are not fundamental rights and human society is meant to move forward towards humanity,fairness and equal opportunity! The sky has not fallen on in Goa that adopted UCC. No hesitation is needed to apply in the national level! Get on with it!

When Criminal Law is same for everyone in the country, why not Civil Law?? Kyunki waha women ko apna gulam bana ke rakhna hai. Nehru ji ne aazadi ke baad Civil Code banane ki jagah Hindu Code bana diya. Aur Muslim women ko maulana ke bharose chhod diya. Congress can go to any extent for pleasing Muslim men and insulting Hindu men. Hindu Code ki jagah Civil Code banna chahiye tha which would have been applicable to all the religions. India would have been a paradise by now.

I am a hindu nationalist and have supported modi all the while, but it is high time. He should come and speak about vital issues that threaten the integrity if our nation. Atrocities should be condemned in open, be dalits, muslims, etc.

I dont understand the debate of congress. If BJP brings UCC, and if you think it is against muslims, won't it consolidate muslim votes to them? where is the catch? BJP will never get the muslim vote then. Won't it be a good situation for congress?
