Facilities are the best, to be honest. My shower stopped working and we put in a work order at 2 AM and they came in 10 minutes and fixed it on the spot. We also had a bunch of dust in our air conditioner and they came with the Shop-Vac and fixed it very quickly as well.

Cognates are basically 6 extra classes you take in lieu of gen ed at all other schools. In other words, humanities, social science, languages, etc are all fulfilled by 6 cognate classes.

My son was accepted today!!! From more than 42,000 students application, there was space for 2100 only & my SON got one of them.....🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 IMPOSIBLE IS NOTHING IF YOU BELIEVE 🙏📚🎆🍀🌾🌱🌿
@@wendyriveron8147 More than 2100 were accepted. UM said a very similar thing on my offer letter and my sister's. The 2100 number is misleading; it's not the number they've actually accepted but rather how many students they expect to matriculate. I know this from speaking with a UM recruiter.

Don’t be scared of acceptance rates. I got into Miami but I didn’t get into an instate public school with a 70% acceptance rate. Very confusing.

I'm pretty sure it's going to be an upperclassmen and transfer student dorm this year but Mahoney & Pearson have the same layout as Eaton and they should be available for freshmen :)
I am curious as to how the covid-19 situation is impacting the University of Miami? Are they cancelling graduation? Are they issuing refunds for classes?
Students pursued a class-action lawsuit against the university demanding tuition refunds...so there's that lol
They’re giving partial refunds for housing and meal plan only

Just do well on the ACT or SAT, and make sure to be involved in your community now. Like clubs and volunteering.

Mahoney/Pearson and Hecht are going to be freshman dorms next year I believe. Not sure what will happen to Stanford!

This might be a stupid question but do people wear like bathing suits and things like that a lot?
there's a pool on campus so sometimes! it's also warm basically year round so people wear less "conservative" clothing in general you could say but everyone is different :)
I got in for the spring so I am really hesitant to go because I would miss out for the fall. Do you know anything about spring admits?

hey! so i'm actually currently a sophomore at UM, but i also originally started in spring and no it's not hard to make friends just because you come a semester late. even at orientation you make friends that you stay close with and tbh i find that most people are constantly looking to make new friends. also if you were planning on joining greek life - you actually rush in the spring and not the fall so that's super convenient too :) hope this helped a bit!!
Would u say that Hecht is better than Mahoney/Pearson? I’m going to UM next yr and literally everyone is saying they’ve heard Hecht is so much better but it honestly sounds like it should be the other way around
I can't say because I lived in Eaton my freshman year so I've never had the experience of living in Hecht! I think some people say that because there is more of a floor community in Hecht than Mahoney and Pearson, not because of things like room size and the bathroom. Honestly up to you!
Don’t pick Hecht if you have the option to choose, unless you want a tiny dorm with a tiny window
Mahoney pearson is definitely the way to go

@@racheln5474 yes, as of now I’m a freshman at UM and I was able to find a friend group that doesn’t party! It just depends on the ppl u meet:)

Like I said in the video, you should call the financial aid office for questions like that :)
Theres financial aids and scholarships for international students. If you're lucky, you could get most of your tuition and living expensed paid for you.
I really want to go to UM for performing arts but I am a sophomore in high school right now . I hope they accept me 😖😖😖😖
