Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan is offering a peek behind the scenes of his first official outing with Princess Rajwa since the Royal Hashemite Court announced her pregnancy news.
On June 11, the heir to the Jordanian throne posted a new photo with his wife taken ahead of the national event commemorating his father King Abdullah's Silver Jubilee. The snap showed Crown Prince Hussein, 29, and Princess Rajwa, 30, standing and smiling together, the side angle showing her baby bump.
"Rajwa and I before the national event marking the #SilverJubilee of His Majesty," Crown Prince Hussein captioned the snap on Instagram in both English and Arabic.
Over the weekend, the royal family of Jordan came together to celebrate the 25th anniversary of King Abdullah's enthronement on June 9. Princess Rajwa and Crown Prince Hussein sat in the front row with his parents, King Abdullah and Queen Rania, during the service also attended by Hussein's younger siblings - Princess Iman, Princess Salma and Prince Hashem.

The 9,000-guest event complete with a military parade, flypast and speech from the King was significant as Princess Rajwa and Crown Prince Hussein's first public outing since the court announced in April that she's expecting her first child. Though the Royal Hashemite Court released maternity photos of Rajwa on the first anniversary of her royal wedding with Hussein on June 1, she had not previously made a formal public appearance.
In June 2023, King Abdullah and Queen Rania's eldest son married Rajwa Alseif in a lavish royal wedding in Amman attended by Prince William, Kate Middleton and royalty from around the world. Ten months later, the court announced that the newlyweds were "expecting their first baby this summer."
Rajwa became a princess on her royal wedding day, and it's expected that the child will receive the titles of His/Her Royal Highness and prince/princess. The baby on the way is the first grandchild for Queen Rania, 53, and King Abdullah, 62, and a male child will enter into the line of succession.
