t/p and t/g boards are called termination indicator board for passenger and goods train....it has no connection with loop lines...these boards are placed where there is a speed restriction..basically after the speed restriction....the speed restriction can be temporary or permanent....if it is permanent it will be mentioned in the working time table and if temporary it will be mentioned in the caution order which is issued to the crew at the time of signing on...the termination indicator boards indicates to the crew that the train has cleared the speed restricted section and normal speed can be resumed....for loop lines we have a cross over cleared board that's it...w/l board means whistle/level crossing not loud...it is placed 600 mts before the LC gate.... also one more board is used which is rw/l that means repeat whistle/ level crossing..it is placed 250mts before the LC gate...the crew has to whistle intermittently from the w/l board upto the RW/l board and whistle continuously from RW/l board till crossing the LC gate...the caution indicator board is placed 1200 mts away from the place where there is a speed restriction imposed...just to indicate to the crew that they are approaching the speed restriction....hope it will help...

Dear Subham W/L is not whistle loudly. Its means Whistle/level crossing. Its hindi version is SI/FA means सिटी/ फाटक. This sign board must be placed before a road crossing(Level crossing where a track crossed a road at same level). For whistle only there is a sign board for W only. Train is not human that it can sound low or loud.But overall yours efforts is great, thank you.

Actually LP's are very Trained about the routes.
So with the Experience they Exactly know that where is the Signal and Where is these Sign Board. So there is no need to Focused Them.

I'm having a question. Let me explain the scenario. Suppose a train is leaving a station, in general, there are many tracks so how do driver get confirmed during the night time which route is set for the train I mean to say how do they exactly notice the signal for the tracks? As there are many tracks, during nighttime I've noticed from the locomotive it looks like signals posts are got scattered, it is really difficult to notice the track's signal. Suppose the train is about to change the track from next point so there should be an indication for that like main track signal should be red and white will be shown to change the track and on that track, the train will be guided to forward direction. But besides that track(where the train will go after changing track) there is another track which also shows white for its train to get into another track. Now assume that the train is about to get its starter clearance but from that point wouldn't the signals be looking like confusing. Thanks.
Oh understood... by the way one more thing to clarify driver has to take the decision by means of the signals provided.right? Is there any spoken information about the route is given?

and for your kind information the speed over a cross over is either 15 KMPH or 30 KMPH not 20 or 25 KMPH....buddy your work is appreciated but you need to gather accurate information which will help others....
bro W/L means whistle / level crossing which means start blowing whistle from that point as there is a level crossing ahead and another one is fish signal which signal their CAUTION ORDER to loco pilot in that section as there is work going on not for signaling ....
