In the deepest years of disco, there was another parallel trend. The Manhattan Transfer, Bette Midler and others resurrected jazz, swing and bebop. This was the soundtrack of my daily life in the seventies. I am not obsessed with the nostalgia of my youth, (drugs, disco and dancing all night) but it is fun to revisit. I find the same enjoyment from Alternative Music that is being produced now, as I near my 70th birthday.
Stupendous representation of rhythm changes style of be-bop swing jazz with exquisite do-whop harmony vocals. Complete with electric bass guitar. I don't care how old this recording is. Cudos to the artists and producers. The simple fact is that it just don't git any better dan dis urban-o-fantastic swing-o-matic jass!
Hey Eight is great! Oh now yer Thirteen! Listen well, oh wise one, and discern. The music grows on ya. Discover catchy tunes! You already have good taste, soon you'll write your own songs

One of their very best! Listening since 1976 and never get tired of it!
What an arrangement by this great vocal group. I saw them live in SF back in 82!
