There is a lot to love about this! Very fluid playing. For me the unsung hero of this clip is the muted arpeggios in the back of the mix. I also love the switching between the bridge and neck pickups. David Gilmour does that really well and I feel like I hear some of that influence in your playing and maybe a bit of Slash in the faster runs. Really awesome stuff! I could really see this lead sitting well in the cover by the band No Resolve and really power ballad the crap out of this song.
The reason this works is because Adele's voice itself is very melodic and she holds notes really really well, she's basically an epic 80's guitar solo in person form. Also where's the rest?? Now I want to hear a whole instrumental.
