I wouldnt mind the result if I would see passion and drive from the lads. But given how tired and sluggish they looked, the result is actually really good.
Exactly my thoughts, there was no urgency or pressing, they were playing like they were 5-0 up and didnt care if they conceded another goal or two.
Hendo made some awful mistakes, Elliott was not good enough when he came on. Thiago played well till he got injured. Diaz made chances, Firmino was non existent really and Salah had little impact until after 60 minutes. Nunez made the difference and he should have started instead of Bobby. Simple.

@@Harvles93 Yeah, the first half was abysmal, the second a bit better thanks to Nunez, but overall really disappointing. Alisson should never concede from that angle, Virg had a bad one, Trent was really bad, Robbo and Joel were decent, the midfield was just awful, Thiago being the unlucky exception, and the attack was toothless, Diaz and Mo were trying, but not good enough, Bobby was not present. It is quite something when we need to bring some life to the game with an old dog (Milner) and a puppy (Elliot).
I agree with you - I want to see Nunez and Carvalho starting, Milner as well - anyone with guts, passion and drive.
EDIT: I had to change the foul taste in my mouth by watching Leeds against Wolves - I really enjoyed the fight, it was much better than our game.

I feel that many players should do more physically: Diaz, Robertson, Trent, Fabinho, Firminho, Eliot, Keita, Carvalho- the quality of all these players drops massively when the opponent plays tough against them, and you can sense the difference when you see how Salah, Milner, Hendo, and Thiago handles one vs one situation. I feel that we face troubles when other teams put us under pressure and aggression- take this match and the one against Salzburg as references.
Footnote: I hope I hope once in a lifetime Robo put his leg to block the cross as he means it. He always makes the run, reaches the ball, and wastes his effort. A lot of crosses come from his side.

Is Mitro going to beat him and get his head on it anyway? Probably. But a proper challenge will often spoil the striker's aim.
I do not have a problem with Trent getting beaten with Mitro at the far post. I have a huge problem with Trent failing to do his job, so that he will not be so easy to beat.

These are the type of games that Liverpool needs to win. Its proven how both Liverpool & City can go all the way right from the start from the previous few seasons. And Liverpool just dropped unnecessary points. These are the type of points that could have won them the league last season & possibly this season.
And we'll also lose again this season. I'm so tired of people saying always "next season".
I am not so optimistic. I expect Liverpool to find it challenging to finish in the top 4. The team lacks creativity and flair in midfield, and too many players are injury-prone (Keita, Henderson, Thiago, Gomez, Oxlade, Matip, Konate...).

Fulham were pressuring like crazy making it really difficult for Liverpool to craft any chances. Salah and Nunez were the only positives from this match, and its another disappointing performance from Firmino…
Fulham can consider themselves unlucky not to win.
We needed to make a statement and score 4-5 against them and not concede but in reality we had to come back twice to draw. We had a few that hit the woodwork and so did Fulham.
I hope this is the wake up call that we needed. That injury list is not looking good this early on in the season. Not sure why we kept Keita and Oxlade-Chamberlain and Jota and Thiago continue to struggle with injuries.

Today Firmino had a really bad performance, sloppy with the passing and lost possesion multiple times. Should have swapped him with Nunez after 30 minutes. Salah was not involved in the entire 1st half, Elliot came on and played through him and made a difference. I think Salah should try to wander more towards the middle and come for the ball some times, like Messi used to do in Barcelona, because he can hold up the ball and also pass people through the back line with world class passing.
2nd half was much better, 2 in the crossbar unlucky go next
I think Mo could not do that because he would be out of position and Trent was way up. Only when Nunez, Harvey and Fabio came on, did I see Mo running inside because Harvey could cover the right wing wide. I noticed the same pattern during the community shielf game. Mo run inward and Harvey and Fabio who was inside around box area...they switch position. Fabio ran closer to the box and Harvey ran around Mo to cover the right wing wide.
And the 1st half....Diaz kept getting tackled and bodied by the defenders. Was actually worried about Diaz getting hurt tbh....because Jota is injured and we cannot afford another injury...

@@myownlilbubble Harvey has a very good understanding and chemistry with Salah. He also displayed some attacking creativity that we lacked. I mean his pass to Salah made the first goal happen. I think Harvey should be given more starts and should eventually replace Henderson on the right side of midfield. Henderson should be coming on as an experienced sub similar to Milner and he should also serve as cover for Fabinho's role.

Games like against Fulham yesterday & last seasons 3-3 draw against Brentford is the one which will cost the Reds the title again unless Klopp & Reds are willing to lose the premiership again by a meagre single point. Every game need to be treated like a final & not only the last 10 games of the season. Yesterday's lost of 2 points is an unnecessary criminally tainted wastage.

I don’t know why klopp is stubborn sometimes, He doesn’t see clearly that firmino is finished and can’t even run , he keeps a world class player on the bench . Also why can’t we get a midfielder who can replace Henderson and Milner , klopp is clearly out of his mind , could be another disappointing season of losing 1 point to the title .
True we need a midfielder but calling a manager who has coached for over 10 years "out of his mind" from a guy who has never coached let alone go pro in his life is a bit of a stretch..plus it's the start of the season and Klopp will sort things out as time goes by
In fairness it just takes time, but we do need to strengthen the defence and midfield (defence by bein more focused midfield by signing someone and sellin another)bcs if we repeat this this season against City, Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal ir even a ETH Man Utd, it could be very costly specially since all of them are now a bit stronger (maybe not Chelsea they weren't that great against Everton)
