It's lovely having this little bit of Wool Week every day! Thank you. Today's cardigan is smashing, Claire! I have one very much like it that my Shetland Granny knitted over 45 yrs ago. A cousin sent it to me in Australia when I started knitting lace a few years ago, so I was delighted to see the pattern for Merran's Cardigan in this year's annual 😍
I'd give anything to go the SWW next year. I loved the lady from California who rents a flat
and stays for months. Makes me want to do it too.
And it has been another great video. I have enjoyed seeing and hearing about your event. The fleeces look lovely. See you again tomorrow!

Thank you for another wonderful update. Seeing Oliver hard at work looking over all the fleece is wonderful. The Jamieson's of Shetland shop looks amazing and Garry Jamieson's interview was terrific. Thank you so much for producing and uploading these daily updates and all the other background videos that have been presented. I was worried that the connection I have had with SWW during COVID by way of virtual attendance would be lost this year. Please know that even though many cannot currently travel to the beautiful isles, that our love and respect for the history and perseverance of Shetlanders is in our hearts

Oooh that cardigan! I had already spotted it in the Annual but seeing you modelling it has bumped it up my priority list - I had promised myself I would finish everything I have on the go just now before launching into any of the patterns I like in this year's selection, but I may just reconsider. The cream cardigan is one of the heritage patterns which have been reproduced for this year's Shetland Wool Week Annual. We love it too.

What a fabulous video, thank you so much for this. Are there patterns available to that gorgeous shawl, the dog's knitted coat, and Gary Jamieson's vest? Also, can someone (i.e. me) purchase and have posted to me a Shetland fleece? I'm sorry to say i am far too old to travel from Virginia in the U.S. but i would love to spin a genuine Shetland fleece. Thank you again for this wonderful video. Today is my birthday and this is one of the best gifts ever!
