Reporter shot himself in the foot by not having a clear question. She addressed what was understandable. She stated the US has no problem with Ukraine using US or Western European weapons to defend it's sovereign ground and to take back what Russian invaders stole.
She said our position hasn't changed, so you can go back to previous statements on this and find that the US generally does not recommend (not a hard no) Ukraine to strike Russian targets. I don't get how you don't understand this.

Ukraine is fully spent in terms of manpower as they are past their 9th round of mobilization.
If you have seen talks of sending troops to Ukraine that's the reason why, the streets of most Ukrainian cities are empty because you'll be immediately arrested or dragged to the frontline if your capable of fighting, european nations are also sending Ukrainian refugees back to fight.
I'd say the Russian armies attrition campaign has worked incredibly well, also you have to keep in mind Ukraine is the 2nd largest army in Europe so Russia struggling against them is natural as Russia wont mobilize a proportionate amount as Ukraine will since their fighting for their countries existence.

Ukraine lost its chance at a military victory against Russia in 2022 they literally had everything set up for them and then they sent their entire army into Bakhmut and lost, honestly if Ukraine just let Russia take Bakhmut without a serious fight then they could've just kept pushing Russia out of the entire Luhansk region and be better prepared for their future 2023 offensive.

@@user-ib1bo2sr8i Uhh they did remember the Kharkiv and Kherson offensives? Russia went into the war with about 150,000 troops and they never really added onto that, this is what let Ukraine mobilize and and they eventually outnumbered the Russians by a ton.
During Bakhmut the numbers evened out and the Russian artillery advantage grew.

I'd say, look up the broken treaty signed by the two when it came to denuclearisation.
After the fall of the USSR and subsequent sovereignty; this war should have never started. Arguing Ukraine should bow down to a superpower, just because, is giving a free pass to allow death and destruction, is just like saying the little man fighting back for their own is somehow more evil than the invaders.
Just for reference: If you are an American (what if situation), an invasive force attacks, and supplies/military are hindered... Would you be arming yourself to fight back with small arms or whatever you can get your hands on or just surrender to the occupation? I know the answer but am trying to add perspective.

The reason of the war was because Russia wants to own Ukraine again essentially. Russia also needs to evaluate their losses. They lost 70% of all military vehicles against a small country. All soldiers are I’ll equipped, no NVGs no Mounted sights, lack of ammo per unit, no combat armor.
