just a reminder: there's a difference in being curious about something and overstepping boundaries
Exactly! Like you can be curious about being a woman but that doesnt mean you actually are one.
@@MS-ti6fy trans women are not "curious about being women" , their brain structure is actually female, and being biologically "male" causes them an intense amount of discomfort and emotional pain, therefore they transition into women to feel happier. i suggest you go and research about what its like to be transgender instead of making incorrect assumptions
ABAB what makes you think that they don’t feel that way? your not trans so how is it fair for you to say they aren’t female because I’m trans and I’ve always felt like a girl I wasn’t curious i new what I was idk what your gender is but try to imagine being the opposite sex you would most likely hate it and if a trans girl doesn’t have a female brain then why do I get excited when putting on makeup? or doing my nails? talking about boys with my best friend or going shopping with my bestie why am I so submissive? try to answer that. no normal man would ever get excited about things like that. Since you seem to know how the brain works please explain why I have these feelings
@ABAB Actually there are countless studies that validate transgender and nonbinary identities. That being said however, we don't need science to validate trans/nb experiences, as an individual's identity is a truth fundamentally higher than science - it is a lived experience that just simply exists. Science does not explain all social phenomena because social phenomena is just fundamentally out of its reach

Zoura well I mean u can kinda tell if someone’s trans by their voice or like one masculine or feminine feature like the nose or face structure
@@shrek7964 uh not really. i've seen a lot of trans men and women online that look as though they were born the way they are now. also although that can be true for trans women since estrogen doesn;t change their voice as much, trans men usually have voices like any other men
@Hernandez10052 Tends to be asians that are the best at looking like the opposite gender, most white or black people you tend to be able to tell instantly.
I'm not sure. To see cis acceptance as the 'point' of transitioning, rather than feeling at peace personally and having the power to define yourself, seems like a recipe for prejudice and low self worth. People who don't transition medically, or can't afford to, are then put in real danger as well as being made to feel lesser because cis people are able to define who and what they are. Especially for people who are still questioning and unsure, discomfort with how people police your gender expression must be confusing enough without people pressuring you to have surgery because they are uncomfortable and obsessed with whether your your genitals fit their expectations of being 'fully' one gender.
You probably didn't mean this in your comment, but it was just something that I wanted to mention.

Girlcakes the teacher is right. We should teach kids from a young age that they can play with any toy they want. And the people who market barbies to girls or gi Joe's to boys are part of the problem since society thinks girls and boys should only be allowed to play with certain toys.

So I'm a trans woman but I was born with outward physically female characteristics. How do you explain that?
Katie you’re a man not a woman
Aero transsexuality has been around for centuries, so it was 100% a “concept” (your words) in the 1940’s & WAY before that. You should probably do some research before thinking this is in anyway new.
It’s not YOUR place to tell ANYONE who or WHAT they are, let alone what’s going on in their brain. People that want to go through the full transition have to be psychologically tested multiple times & over a pretty long time period. It’s not like someone can say “I want to be XYZ” and just walk in & have the procedure(s).
Again, doing research or a simple google search would prevent you from making such ignorant comments.
Can someone change their biological sex 100%, absolutely not. And the brain isn’t even the issue with that, it’s the sexual organs. Anyone that wants to become a woman will still never have a uterus & be able to carry or birth a baby. Anyone that wants to become a man will never make sperm & be able to naturally impregnate a woman. However, there are MANY biological people that are born with the correct organs & still cannot procreate, but that doesn’t make them any less a man or woman.

I don't know if it's good or bad that most people on here seem to have more of a problem with ear stretching than trans people.
SoundArtist I was watching and I those ear lobes, Jesus so stretched. I think she pulls it off though.
SoundArtist I know, I'm a pretty liberal person but the ear lobe thing gets me. I've seen what lobes look like with the jewelry out and it disturbs me a bit - long flaps of ear skin.
SoundArtist I don't have a 'problem' with it - in a free society if that's what someone wants to do that's up to them. But I find it pretty gross to look it.
The earlobe thing is another attention getting behavior, it turns them on to shock people. I do think it's a bit rich to actually go and maim yourself tho, but I do feel that stretching earlobes is nothing compared to getting your genitals surgically removed. The religious nuts all just say it's a sexual deviancy but I think there's a lot more to it than that.

Years ago I met this fellow volunteer and they were really cool. But I couldn’t tell if they were a boy or girl. And I felt really bad for wanting to know, cause I liked them regardless of what gender they were.
Months later my boss mentioned that he was transitioning. I felt so relieved by that because I explained why I couldn’t tell.
Great video by the way. I really admire trans people for being honest about themselves even when it contradicts society. I’m a cis girl and can’t imagine being born a boy without being truly horrified. I think if more people visualized that scenario for themselves they would be much more compassionate towards trans people, especially trans kids who need the most guidance and love.
Dont be scared to ask for pronouns, im am trans and i rather have people ask for my pronouns then to misgender me
Trans rights are human rights
Luckily, I probably will never be in a position to have to ask a transgender person anything
I was unlucky
boo hoo
We're everywhere, you just can't tell
Sex: Your genitals and chromosomes at birth, unrelated to gender (male, female, intersex)
Gender: How you identify (male, female, agender, etc...)
Gender Expression: How you express yourself in a gendered way, but not what your gender is (masculine, feminine, androgynous)
Sexual orientation: What gender or lack thereof you are attracted to (hetero, homo, bi, pan, etc...)
pastelcataclysm Gender expression is where the confusion occurs. The reason is a man could dress up as a woman and decide to walk into the woman's bathroom. If he identifies his gender as a woman even though he hold male sexual organs then that would be perfectly fine to do. I can imagine many people being very angry about that.
L.M I guess, but honestly trans people are the only ones being harassed in bathrooms. Schools that have allowed trans youth to use the locker room/bathroom of their choice have reported no problems whatsoever. I guess people are just ignorant
pastelcataclysm That's interesting because I read somewhere about this law in california. The problem with that law is that it singles transgendered individuals so that their difference is highlighted in schools. In an ideal world you'd like them to just use any bathroom they want without there being a law, but since there is a law that allows them, then their difference is explicitly highlighted to other students. Also it doesn't allow those that identify themselves as male to walk into the female bathroom. As a student, you'll notice these different rules that you have with other students and I don't think it'll be inclusive.
Also there are individuals that say that they are gender fluid so depending on what they feel on that day, they could find themselves walking into the girls bathroom on tuesday and the guy's one on wednesday. Then you have asexuals whom will feel that it's not fair that they have to choose between two distinct genders. The list just goes on and on.
L.M It would be so much easier if bathrooms were just labelled urinals and no urinals.
pastelcataclysm But then that would give even more reason for a man to walk into a woman's bathroom to take a dump. Women's bathrooms are cleaner so if a guy wanted to take a dump in a bathroom, he'll use the woman's one. Also what if he just wants to use the mirror, he can use any bathroom that he wishes.
Look the only option is really for transgendered people to get on with it. The world is overwhelmingly made up of two main genders and that will never change. It's sad but I really don't know what else can be done about it. The world is always going to satisfy the majority and apparently majority rule.

Why's she got a nether portal in her ears?
Why is the concept of a gender neutral bathroom so hard to understand? We have female restrooms, and male rest rooms. Why don't we add neutral restrooms, so that you have one of three choices: male, female, or neutral. That way, if you're a woman and are scared of being harassed by someone, you can use the female bathroom. If you're a male and not comfortable with there being people of different genders in one restroom, use the male bathroom. If you're transgender, and not comfortable in either the male or female bathroom, use the neutral one.
Bathrooms don't need to be merged, there just needs to be a third option, and nobody needs to get upset about it.
It's that simple.
***** Why? Why should people be killed for who they are?
"I don't understand what these people experience, so therefore, they must all be massacred." That's what I read when I read your comment.
Why don't we kill all people with blonde hair, too, while we're at it? Oh, but that would be silly, because people can't choose their natural hair colour.
+Ebony Shaw-Prisk Gender neutral bathrooms are unnecessary. It's that simple.
+kloesoe breker
So, you're an advocate for the massacre of perfectly innocent people? I used the blonde hair example because you can' those your natural hair colour, just like how being transgender is not a choice. Why should you care about what someone else does with their body? It doesn't affect you, so ignore it, if it bothers you so much.
+HarshDude126
We already have unisex bathrooms, and handicapped bathrooms. How difficult could it be to install, say, one extra bathroom for people who don't feel comfortable using male or female bathrooms?
Ebony Shaw-Prisk Actually, it would be very difficult and costly. Of the millions of public facilities around the country, you're suggesting that for each one, the tax payer's should pay for the installment of a whole extra room with plumbing, maintenance, etc. Not because it's particularly necessary but to spare the FEELINGS of a tiny minority. What sense does that make? Why is it so difficult to just pick a bathroom and use it?
+HarshDude126
So, we can have bathrooms for disabled people, who are a minority, but not gender neutral bathrooms for another minority?
Gender neutral bathrooms are needed. Let's assume that a male-to-female transgender person needed to go to the bathroom. However, this person does not look male, nor does she look completely female. If she was to use the bathroom of her assigned sex, she could be harassed by men. If she was to use the bathroom of the gender she identified as, someone might call security, because they didn't understand. However, if a gender neutral bathroom were to exist, this woman could use it without needing to worry as much about being humiliated or harassed.
Besides, unisex bathrooms do exist. How difficult would it be to alter the signage for those bathrooms just enough, so that they're distinctly gender neutral? Actually, that's probably all that needs to be done to accommodate the needs of gender-non-conforming individuals. There also aren't too many of these people, so it's not like you'd need to have the same number of gender neutral bathrooms as you do of male/female bathrooms.

Transgenders are against science not god
@@IslamicWarlord read actual research papers instead of fourth grade biology books pls
@@IslamicWarlord That is quite literally, FACTUALLY WRONG. Where did you get your degree in gender studies? Biology?
We don’t need people being transgender, instead we need to get rid of most of our gender stereotypes. I know so many stories where people change gender because they like stuff stereotypically of the opposite gender. But what we need in society are people who like things stereotypically not for their gender. We need boys with long hair, boys who like barbie dolls, girl racing drivers.
@Cian MacGana When I say ‘we need’ I mean ‘in an ideal society it would be best’
ah, yes. Gender abolitionism. That's always fun. Removing gender stereotypes probably won't change how many trans people there are. What that would probably do is make transitioning infinitely easier for people. Gender dysphoria isn't caused by liking things that are stereotypically associated with the opposite gender, it's the feeling that your body doesn't match what your brain thinks it is. Most trans people just dress the way they do to make others see them as they see themselves. Me included.
I dress feminine so I can get gendered properly in social situations or with new people. So like when I'm at school, I dress relatively feminine. But if I'm chilling with friends at one of their houses, I'd dress however I feel like dressing, feminine, masculine, androgynous, doesn't matter to me. All because my friends know I'm trans, and most of them met me after I started transitioning, so most of them already see me as a woman, no need to rely on femininity.

If a person is born male, how does he know what a female feels like. And vice versa. As a matter of fact, what is a male or female 'feeling'?. This is the whole argument on transgenderism is it not? Feeling like the opposite sex? The biology is not in question. If you are born male or female your biology remains the same no matter what you think or do to your body. So it is left to how the person feels. And again I ask, what is a male or female 'feeling'? I'm a male so I can only say what a male feeling is. I most certainly cannot say what a female feeling is.
I totally agree with you. Being a gender isn't a feeling and you cannot escape your DNA.
Gender dysphoria and/or gender euphoria, that’s what you have if you’re trans and haven’t transitioned and is much more then just a “feeling”. Please do research on the trans experience before commenting something like this on the internet.
Gender is not biological. And yeah.. it is true that cisgendered people don't understand what it is like to feel 'male' or 'female'. We can't understand it, but somehow trans people can. It's just a thing
Everyone take note of the responses above. It seams that science is only used by the liberal when i suits its agenda. When it disproves its belief, then science is twisted into fitting its agenda. Sex is biological. Science and common sense says so.
@@dirkdiggler7418 I'm not a liberal and science literally disagrees with you. I know you probably watch a lot of Ben Shapiro and Jordan Peterson and they like to twist their words to promote anti-trans agenda bc well... they're conservative. The definition of gender: "either of the two sexes (male and female), especially when considered with reference to social and cultural differences rather than biological ones. The term is also used more broadly to denote a range of identities that do not correspond to established ideas of male and female."
Gender is a social construct according to all the academics and experts. Sex is biological. This has been a thing for literally years. Gender has been defined as a social construct for years, but conservatives have only NOW started to criticize it because they need an excuse to shit on trans people. Maybe you should actually try and educate yourself instead of just listening to conservative youtubers.
