I have watched 100s of anime and read dozens of manga in my life. Girls' Last Tour is the most powerful story I have ever experienced. It has so many things in it that will change your outlook on life. It blew me away.
The series can be summed up in two words: Melancholy & Bliss. It is utterly fantastic how both of those emotions are constantly held in every panel of each volume.
I love Girl's Last Tour. Both the anime and manga are among my favorites and I couldn't ever reccomend it enough. There's a certain somber tranquility that's both comforting and bittersweet, and that's always been Tsukumizu's aesthetic. There's a melancholy feeling in everything Tkmiz does, and its super unique to them as an author. And of course I love their art style. If you ever wanted to read something similar, I'd recommend Ashizuri Suizokukan by Panpanya. Its not hardly the same story but there's a similar sorta mysterious, ominous and curious vibe. The art style could easily be compared to Tsukumizu and the girl you follow is endearing and imaginative. Unlike GLT a lot of it is abstract and surreal and not meant to be taken objectively. But if you liked GLT you very well might like it.
MommaLuvsManga This work is so wonderful Thanks for spreading it to various people! I don't understand English, but I managed to understand it! I subscribed to that channel, do your best!👍👍👍
If you haven't already, you may want to check out Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou. It has a similar "beautiful apocalypse" and "comfy-lonely" feel to it. I'm glad I stumbled upon your channel! CZcams recs have been pretty good recently!
I haven’t and I will!! Thanks for the recommendation and also for taking the time to watch and comment! Shout out to CZcams for doing something right. My CZcams recs are all over the place! 😂🤣
Girls Last Tour is a gorgeous piece of emotional fiction...have you read Made in Abyss? it was my love for Made in Abyss which turned me on to Girls Last Tour...my question now, is whether fans of GLT will enjoy MiA as much as i did.
Great video as ever. Have had my eye on this series for a while, definitely going to give it a try now after your review and now that it's all been released. Quick recommendation, just finished reading Astra lost in space, really great small (5 Vol) series. Took a few volumes to get into it, the characters annoyed me at first, but loved it and fell in love with the characters by the end. Was really sad to finish it, tears were shed.
I adore Girls Last Tour. Both the anime and manga are among my favorites and I couldn't ever reccomend it enough to anyone. I love Tsukumizu's work in general. There's a sorta somber tranquility in it that's fairly unique to Tkmiz, and the art style is absolutely endearing. If you were ever interested in something similar, I'd reccomend Ashizuri Suizokukan by Panpanya. The story isn't really the same at all but there's a very similar vibe. Its got that thoughtful, curious tone that I love from GLT and the art style could be compared to Tsukumizu as well. Though unlike GLT much of it is abstract or surreal and not to be taken objectively.

Only just getting to this video! This sounds great and also hearing it's only 6 volumes makes me more inclined to pick up! If you haven't already, would you consider a video talking about the shorter manga series you'd recommend? Perhaps broken down into genres that you read?
I’ve kind of done this in my recent Collection Overview series (I have a playlist for it)! I say kind of because I didn’t go too in depth since it was a collection overview. I definitely plan to do more in depth recommendation videos based soon, though!!
MommaLuvsManga I need to get Into Manga once again. It’s just Some Manga are Have at least 50 Volumes of Mangas. But Do you recommend any Short Manga Series?
What is your ideal definition of short? Less than 20, or 10? Most of the series I’ve talked about are less than 20, but I have a lot on my shelves that have less than 10! If you use Instagram, my page could be helpful because I’m showcasing my whole collection and a lot of the series are short!
I highly suggest that you don't watch reviews if spoilers aren't your thing. It's very difficult to have great conversations without some sort of spoilers.
@@MommaLuvsManga Very true but videos that go in depth on a topic usually let you know before hand. Even just a quick verbal warning would work. I think the only reason I got heated was because you got me all hyped to read it then at the very end it was spoiled. I would have saved the big spoilers for the very end of the vid and give a warning just before, especially character death spoilers
@@snapdragon9568 Understandable! And I will keep that in mind for the future. However, what I said wasn’t actually a spoiler because it’s not what happened at all. I highly recommend you read the series. It’s amazing.
