- Apple released their Studio Display over 2 years ago now, and with this being on most creators desk set ups, I wanted to see if this £1500 monitor was still worth considering in 2024.

In 2024, at that price point, it’s outrageous that they still make lcd displays
Curious as to why your original monitor arm wouldn't work with the ASD? I'm planning on a similar setup with the VESA mount and that definitely gave me pause.

As others have already said - it’s great to hear from you again! As an ASD owner myself I just can not get past the buzzing sound coming from the back of the display. It only goes away if one is running it at a full brightness which is just ridiculous. Great review though - high quality content indeed.
Have you spoken to Apple about that issue? I can remember way back when I worked there, issues like that usually came from the power controller... So if it's in warranty they should be able to fix that up!

Long story short - I have but the country where I live Apple is operating under limited warranty and can't arrange an appointment for my issue as everything goes through a local Apple Premium Reseller store. I did however recieved a substitute unit which had the same problem. After that this very unit had undergone a repair which hadn't resolved anything. So I guess I'll just have to live with it 🙄. Really disappointed with the ASD in this regard. Otherwise I find it as a very satisfying product.

Thanks Raida! I definitely see this as a product that Apple won’t be updating in a long time. Like I mentioned; the Thunderbolt Display was around for years! You could pick one up and it would pay itself back ☺️ I also noticed they’re a little cheaper on Amazon now too 👀
That monitor will be worth buying until Apple creates a new one lol and even then it will still be worth it like the old display was and still is
I had my old display for 9 years and it looked as beautiful as day 1 and worked great until a wire went bad and the cost to repair just wasn’t worth it
