King of Tokyo is a refreshing addition to the countless classrooms I go to that have outdated boardgames sitting on a shelf in the back of the room collecting dust. These old games are a pain to set up and take way too long to play. This really doesn't jive with the short attention span of new age kids. Do yourself a favour and get rid of those games from the 50's and upgrade to a game that really does engage kids, a game like King of Tokyo.
Gamification of the classroom is a hot topic amongst educators and I have found that a great way to start this trend in your teaching is to simply have great games available in the classroom.
