    Great Video, would love to see the tuning process. CZcams was definitely boring without CZcams videos to watch. Glad you are back

      Appreciate that and will try to do a video on tuning. I got lucky because where i set it for install was right at 15psi so i did not have to mess with it.

      @@bitingantz got the same MBC ran from 10-15psi too. Felt so much faster.

      @@bitingantz Id love to see a video about rising the power, what are the limits of different gen engines and how to prevent grenading your 3sgte engine. Fuel pump, ecu and engine internals upgrades. Any experiences would be interesting to watch. Thanks!

      Hopefully one of these days I will have the knowledge to do a video like that

    This is so helpful. Could you do a video on troubleshooting a boost leak?

    • @bitingantz
      @bitingantz  Před 6 měsíci

      Thank you, I believe the proper way to test for a boost leak is with a smoke system. I currently don’t have a smoke kit but otherwise you could try getting some carb cleaner and misting around the connectors and hoses to see if you get any response in rpm gain from the engine. ( would not do so on a very hot engine). That is how I would start the process and again I’m not a professional mechanic , just an Mr2 enthusiast.

    you will get much better results if you were to fit an electronic boost controller

      What would be the advantage? I ran mbc and ebc on my subaru and didnt feel much difference . I have an ebc for the mr2 so now you have me curious.

    Hey boss, how did you tune your Gen 5 3sgte? My friend just picked up an mr2 with a gen 5 swap in it and we’re stumped on how to tune it

    • @bitingantz
      @bitingantz  Před měsícem +1

      Is the car running an oem ecu , if so there is really no tuning required. Are you referring to calibrating a boost controller?

    • @VerteX_FPS
      @VerteX_FPS Před měsícem

      @@bitingantz yes, stock ecu and we found no boost controller was on the car so I told him to buy a manual boost controller so the turbo isnt operating solely on wastegate.
      How would we go about calibrating the mbc?

    • @bitingantz
      @bitingantz  Před měsícem

      @@VerteX_FPS you turn the boost controller clockwise to increase boost and anti to decrease. You will need a good boost gauge to
      Monitor boost levels

      @VerteX_FPS Před měsícem

      @@bitingantz will doing so not mess with afrs? coming from wideband o2 platforms, ive never had a mbc

    • @bitingantz
      @bitingantz  Před měsícem +1

      @@VerteX_FPS the ECU should compensate to maintain air fuel. I would not run higher than 15psi which has been done my many without any real issues.
