I really appreciate this video! We adopted our daughters hamster from someone who was just going to set her “free” we love her and she gets the best of the best. I’ve always been worried about her being so cooped up in this “cage” and after after this video I know can confirm we need to build her a bigger home that has plenty of space to explore and run around with. Our daughter has been telling us this for the longest! Thank you again. 🖤
This is hands down the cutest cage ever! I may have to make one and get a hammy. I haven't had once since high school and this really made me miss my little ball of fluff.

I’d recommend putting a section of paper based bedding that is at least 6in deep in one section, but otherwise everything is perfect!

Hey Emma, I got it cut at the woodshop. Most Wood shops have glass to cute at the dimensions you'd like! (Home Depot for example)

Does the wood hold up? Ive read that some wood swell up or does not hold well because of moisture etc, I’m contemplating whether i wanna do a wood based or acrylic based cage for my hammy xD
Hey Cursetin, thanks for your question! I’ve had my cage for a few months now and no trace of any moisture! Our paint is seaweed based and holding quite well!! :)

For the wood I did use 1,5cm thick plywood (you can make it cut at your local wood/DIY shop). The brackets dimensions are 1x2cm, I've made them from long metal plinth, it's cheap to buy. I would also recommend to buy it directly at the store as online stores such as Amazon might be short on that type of product. Best of luck :)
