These are real bamboos and not Lucky bamboo..
I grow them in Cocopeat instead of soil for good aeration. They require plenty of water and sunlight after establishing themselves in pot.
These plants were said to bring good luck and financial growth.. and also makes a good hobby. They grow overnight so that you can see it literally growing.

No i tried, it doesnt roots, just rots.. It can grow if you split the rhizomes.. better buy it from a nursery,, its pretty weak at starting stages and becomes hardy only if it grows upto 2-3 feets high..
