INGENIOUS AND SIMPLE | My Approach to the Band Saw Circle Cutting Jig

  • This is a project that I wanted to do for a long time. A jig to cut circles on my band saw. I saw so many different approaches to this jig. I saw one very interesting video on CZcams that shows the making of such a jig. This circle cutting jig worked with a T-Track and was very simple to build. So i decide to make a simillar one for myself. Because of the fact, that i made a T-Track myself and my T-Track were not so stif as buyed ones, i had to change the design a bit. For me it's the simplest solution with my selfmade T-Track, and it works just awesome.

Very clean and precise! Great materials choice, too. The phenolic will shed dust and will be easy to keep clean. It will also offer a slippery surface for whatever you want to cut into a circle.

An awesome jig. I like the idea of the selfmade t-track. 👍🏻

Like the use of T slot, different to what others do. Could be applied to Sanding disc and router table, even drill press for holes on a PCD.

I like this project...But, if you sharpen the screw at the center of the jig, you can cut circles with just a small divot, rather than a hole.

Nice jig. Yours requires that a hole be drilled through the center. However, take a look at the circle jig made by Inspire Woodcraft; no center hole required.
