Felix, you made my day! 🤣
Danke Reiner!
legends say that this man builded the whole space station with only a swiss champ
I that true? 🤣🤣
😲
I have No doubt👏👏👏
Builded you mean built
@@pinkliongaming8769 No. He meant builded.
Where you put the 2 first magnets, it won't make it harder to pull up the tool ?
I bought my daughter (now 3) a SAK when she was born. My kids and I love watching this video series. All they have to hear is "Hello CZcams" on the TV and they are running to watch. Thank you Felix, keep it up.
Also, add your magnet to the needle and thread in your previous tips video and you can retrieve metal objects like your keys...
Haaa ha haaaa, this is a funny storry. Thanks a lot and greetings to your kids!
Thanks a lot for this inspiration!
It's nice to see you teaching them to use a knife, rather than to fear them.
Well done.
I've had and used knives since childhood and still have all my fingers, plus I've never killed anyone with them (I know, I must be the exception to the rule according to the "nanny State").
It's like ANY tool in the hands of the uninformed or malicious can be dangerous, not just knives.
@@nigelnightmare4160I got my first multitool when I was about 8, 65 years ago. It was a 4 tool Imperial or KampKing with a blade, awl, bottle opener/screwdriver, and a can opener. That and a small whetstone rode in my pocket throughout my school years. My parents gave me a Tinker when I was 20, so I have carried a SAK for 53 years now. I have carried a Craftsman for 38 years, but just upgraded to a Champion (which I regret is no longer offered). I found it used, and I prefer it because it doesn't have the pliers which just add thickness. My Leatherman Wave is always in a pouch on my belt. My SAK is getting a Firefly fire starter and Helix tinder. The Wave got a Volty DC voltmeter in place of the reversible screwdriver bit.
Your Vic tips and tricks are second only to your magnetic personality. Thanks for sharing, Dr. SAK.
Thanks a lot for watching my videos!
I have carried my Vic for years but until I started watching your videos I didn't use it much. Now, I use it a lot more. Thanks. Good Luck, Rick
Thanks a lot for this wonderful feedback dear Rick
Not only showing how to use a SAK but also how to become a ladies man. Felix got it all
😂😂 Thanks a my friend!
Before you put your scales on you can fit an 11mm x 0.5mm magnet under the victorinox logo. Handy so you don't lose small screws, sewing needles, fishing hooks etc when you put them down. You can attach your 6mm or 3mm magnets to it whilst using your can opener or hook so you don't lose them either. You can attach your 6mm to it and use it to keep larger screws and nails etc in one place so you don't lose them too. It's niche but handy.
Cool idea! I like carry magnets for picking things up. They are very useful if you drop a small screw (or the SAK needle) on a surface where its hard to see it like on a dark floor, a rug or in the grass. This happens to me alot. I really like the idea of temporarily magnetising the SAK itself. It will not attract metal dust in the long run but it will still help with screws. If you have two small but strong magnets you can use them as an emergency button to keep your shirt or jacket shut. You can also use it to disable your wifes credit card ;)
Thanks a lot for your comment. Do the Trick with the credit card really works? Are you sure? greetings from Switzerland
Felix
@@FelixImmlerIf it doesnt work, I'm sure the scissors on your SAK will do the trick ;)
I have a 5mm square magnet that I stuck to the side of the saw blade near the tip. It fits perfectly between the saw and scissors. Thanks for another great idea. I've carried a Swiss Army Knife for 40 years and your videos have taught me many new ways to use it.
Thanks a lot for your fantastic idea!
Putting a magnet on a tool won't make it harder to pull up?
@@mathieutallard6328Not in pulling up but it gets in the way when you pull it down. The best spots are when Felix showed here but magnets have to 6 mm or less.
Hi Felix!
I knew the trick with the needle just rubbing the tip with a cloth to magnetize it, but with a magnet is much better.
Another tip with the needle, to avoid sinking it in the water, just add some grease on it or wax or even you can use ear wax to repel water from the needle.
Peace!
Thanks a lot for your valuable Tip dear Edgar!
whoa, cool. Or push it through a cork -- see Felix's video on the corkscrew!
I doubt that its possible to magnetize a needle by rubbing it on cloth. If you rub a needle on cloth you may get an electrostatic charge, but that doesnt mean its magnetized. To magnetize it you need a constant magnetic field, you can get this using a permanent magnet or a current moving in the right direction. In theory you may get a current while the electrostatic charge is building up, but this effect negates it self because of the symmetry, even If it would be strong enough, wich i highly doubt in the first place.
@@joeth431 Try it!
@@joeth431 great explanation! yeah, Lenz/Le Chatelier principle is beautiful but very problematic in real life :D
I love the magnetising part , usefull when your compass is lost or broken.
Thanks a lot Martin!
Finally a use for the hook!
I magnetize the needle and the tweezers to help pull out metal slivers
Good idea. Thanks a lot for your comment!
For those times when you say... Man, I wish I had a magnet right now. Thank you Felix.🙏
Danke Robert!!
I loved these tricks! Having a magnet is great in many situations, just like we need to magnetize the screwdriver as you shown in the vid. Plus, Victorinox Huntsman is my favorite!
Just keep the neodymium magnet away from a compass or electronic device .
Yeah. I once destroyed a compass (thankfully cheap one) by storing it in a box with some magnets. Many devices don't react to magnetic field but I'd rather not know if my phone does :)
Phone - digital watch - compass . 12 inches is about ok for a small neodymium magnet .
Thanks a lot Dino!!
Felix, once again - Thank you very much! I love small practical and useful things and tools. When I found out that I could fix a screwdriver in a corkscrew, it was a small but very pleasant and useful discovery.
Today is another magic - new small but very useful things.
Thanks a lot for this wonderful feedback!
My new favourite CZcamsr. Only seen two vids.
Thanks a lot Jason!
Felix I love your channel. I learn something from everyone of your videos. Thank You so much.
Thank you Felix ! Always great tips from you !
Thanks to you, I now have magnets in the hook tools of my Swiss Champ and two Huntsman SAK.
Thanks Felix! Always love the tips and tricks. I never would have thought to store a magnet in my forester
Thanks a lot my freind!

That is an amazing addition to the SWAK! Wonderful idea. Now, I need to order a magnet or two!

Thanks Felix. The magnet trick is a keeper! Now I’ve got to go find a 🧲 that size.
Thanks a lot Joe!!
I didn’t know about the magnet tracks, thank you for sharing this Felix.👍👏👏👏👏👏👏
You're welcom!
Man.. You can do soo much with just a Huntsman that I ordered one last week and now watching all of your videos. You keep surprising me..
Thanks a lot my friend!
Brilliant video thanks for showing us, you have some great ideas.👍🇬🇧🍻
Thanks a lot Dave!
Thanks for the great information Felix, these knives are essential tools!
Glad you like them!
Bravo Felix! Sempre bellissimo!!!
Mille Grazie!
Excellent tips! Thanks as always my friend!
You're welcom my friend!
Danke für das Video. :)
Amazing, yet another useful feature!
Thank you Joe!
You are a genius on this subject.
Thanks a lot Rich!
Crazy good. Never would have thought of that!
Thanks a lot for your feedback John!
Excelent vídeo...... All your tricks are simple and easy but very useful. I discovered many uses for my Huntsman...
Saludos desde México 🍻
Great idea, thank you so much. I use this immediately :)
Thanks a lot my friend!
Felix, magic. Keep the faith.
Thanks a lot Malcolm!
Thanks for this magnetic nice video, congrats Felix!
Thanks for sitting in front of the screen like a magnet 😂😂
another great video! thanks so much!
Thanks a lot for watching!
Great video. I have also used a magnet attached to a stick to look for dropped screws (or anything else metal) in grass where you can't see. Works particularly well at night when combined with a flashlight that can make shiny stuff reflect
Thanks a lot for your interesting inspirations!
Great idea!!! Thanks a lot for sharing
Thanks for visiting my channel!!
Great final trick!!!♥️♥️✌️
Another great video Felix ...... looking forward to your next one already 😀
Thanks a lot Shaun!!
hiya Felix, I can no longer see any comment, or even comment on your videos !! Any idea what has happened.... it’s not just your channel.
Hi Felix, einfach Klasse Deine Ideen.

Thanks a lot Mike!
Nice one Felix another great little trick 👍😎🇳🇿
Thanks a lot Phil!
Brilliant!
Thanks a lot!
good !!! i love it.
Thanks a lot!
Never thought of these, great idea. Reaffirms my reason for carrying a small torch everywhere. Use a energizer hard case multi use and paired with a swiss army knife you can take on anything, got magnets on the strong adjustable clip, and it's shape means it can be used so well as a work light in tight spaces where the victorinox excels. Ultimate combo haha
Thanks a lot for your comment!
I have a small magnet with a hole in the center. I harvested it in my defective headset and you can attach a string to it and can be used to grab metal in hard to reach places like for example when you accidentally drop your jewelry in a tight hole.
Another is you can hack some of the chinese made electronic padlocks with a magnet by putting the magnet on the padlock's solenoid and once you find the correct spot, the sensor will activate and the lock will be open
Sounds great!
Good ideas!
I just found your channel and now im binge watching it
Thanks a lot for your support!
Yes, more magnet tricks.
Thanks a lot,
maybe there will be more i a other video.
Echt inspirierend.
Dein Kommentar freut mich sehr, vielen Dank!
I bought 8 6mm x 2mm magnets for all my SAKs...Im right with you Felix
Cheers from Oz

Thanks a lot...
Very good Mr Magnet. I'll incorporate inmediatly in my sak's.
Thanks for the tip.
Thanks a lot for your comment brother!
It just had magnets of the precise size. I know it may sound ridiculous, but I'm so happy with that little detail. hahaha I'm a SAK nerd.

Thanks! I could see the use for magnetizing the needle for an emergency compass.
Thanks for watching my friend!
Subbed. This is too cool. The only knife I haven’t done a review of on my channel. Have to get one!
Ahhhhhhh, now I know why the magnets are staying on my body.....because I’m build of iron......LOL......great episode again and good tips, thanks for sharing my dear friend, take care, Taro

Thanks a lot!
Hallo Felix, nochmal ein gute video, Ich habe etwas neu gelehrt, vielen dank für video
Danke Daniel!
Thanks for another great video Felix. That compass trick is awesome. I've heard that you can magnetize your needle by rubbing it on silk, but who has any silk out in the woods? Much better having a magnet in your SAK! Cheers, my friend.
Thanks a lot David. I would trust more the magnet version.
I learned excellent tricks for survival. You never know!
Thanks for your comment!
Silly, but fun. Thanks.
Nice & with love :-)
Thanks a lot!
LG, Robert
The last two times outdoor I wanted to identify iron ore and I had no magnet. Now I can fix this lack. Thanks
Thanks a lot for your positiv feedback!
Neat tricks Felix.
Thanks a lot for your support!
