Ever since I was 14 and babysat the neighbor kids and they let me play their Goodbye Yellow Brick Road album and I read the liner notes, I have been fascinated by whoever this Bernie Taupin guy was, and what made him write all these amazing lyrics. Well that only took about 40 some years! 😂 Glad to finally find out
I just read Elton John’s autobiography, and can’t wait to read Bernie Taupin’s own for comparison (et en passant, je suis ravi qu’il tienne à la prononciation de son nom de famille à la française).
I was just talking to my Brit friend about the audiobook narrator's accent. He described it as "Military/Clergy/BBC posh." 😅 I had to go searching for interviews like this to find out how Bernie actually sounds
@@soccermomland Yea, he's hard to listen to. I've heard too many of Bernie's interviews, and it's just not him at all. I will continue to try, or I'll buy a copy of the book.

Just got the book on Kindle. The guy who reads it has a posh English accent. He doesn’t speak like Bernie at all. I am trying to get used to it. 😊
