  • [THE DIVINE PROTECTORS]
As it is imperative the we seek and ask for Allah’s guidance, it is equally paramount the maintenance and protection of our attained Hidayah. There are external and internal harms that might cause the degradation of our faith. Factors ranging from evil creations, physical or metaphysical or negative destructive emotions.
Hence, for the preservation of our Iman and the protection of our souls, the Prophet ﷺ has provided rituals to protect us from every possible evil and harm. These protection are through the recitation of certain surahs and ayats from the Quran as adviced by the Prophet ﷺ via his authentic hadith tradition.
The Divine Protectors is a video collection of the recitation of surahs and ayats that carry the essence of protection. This series is based entirely form the authentic narrations of the Prophet ﷺ.
    [EP2 - LAST 2 AYATS OF SURAH AL-BAQARAH]
Abu Mas’ud Al-Badri reported, The Prophet ﷺ said, “Whoever recites in the night the last two ayats of Surah Al-Baqarah will be sufficed by them.” [Al-Bukhari]
Imam Ibn Hajar Al-‘Asqolani in Fathul Bari, the commentary of Sahih Al-Bukhari mentiones 7 opinions regarding the meaning of the term ‘it will be sufficed by them’:
    1. It suffices a person from performing Qiyamul Lail. If a person recites these two ayats and is unable to wake up to perform the Qiyam, the recitation suffices the person, i.e. the reciter relieves the reward of performing Qiyamul Lail.
    2. it suffices the person from the recitation of the Quran. Either in solat or outside of it.
    3. The ayats is sufficient for the total holistic understanding of the ‘Aqidah as it consists of the foundations of Iman.
    4. It is sufficient for the person as a protector from all types of evils and harms.
    5. It is sufficient for the person as a protector from the harms of the syaithan.
    6. It is sufficient for the person as a protector from the harms and evils of syaihan and men.
    7. It suffices the person in terms of rewards.
Ibn Hajar is of the opinion that the third meaning is the strongest (as it encompasses the holistic knowledge of Iman), whereas An-Nawawi and As-Syayuthi believe that all the opinions do not contradict, are supported within the scope of syariah therefore all views are applicable. WAllahu a’lam
