    Once we went fishing, and my friend got the last tub of chicken gizzards and was laughing his butt off about it. So I improvised and bought smoky bacon instead. At the lake, I was catching fish left and right and he didn't even get a nibble. I guess fish are like people and get tired of eating the same thing all of the time. I also tied a bacon slice to some line and threw it out there and drug back, slowly, an entire bucket of giant crayfish. My friend bitched all the way home, that I cheated and used unofficial bait :-):-)

    Considering all the weight that's (usually) on the back of these builds, If I we're to build one iI think i would balance the boat directly between the 4 barrels during the build process and possible add an extra foot or 2 length to the front of the boat maybe even a curved section like a half stop sign shape for ascetical reasons. though... that looks pretty dam good with that astro terf I must say. =D

      Perhaps 2 additional barrels at the end of each pontoon or, OR... recessing the motors inward, in any case having the barrels extend beyond the motors may be a idea for the Ver. 2.0. Perhaps build an open-able casing over the engines disguised as a cushioned bench would hide the engines.

    When metal detecting we have kind of a unwritten code of conduct, you don't leave trash behind. We try to leave everything better than we found it, including any holes we make. You cut a sod plug over the target and remove it. Place a piece of plastic or a grocery bag on the ground to put any dirt on from a hole. When done the hole is reassembled with pride and effort it will make it virtually undetectable. Any trash we find, we keep it and dispose of it properly. I would think this is especially important in a water habitat. I imagine that by removing any disturbed metal, you reduce the chance of heavy metal poisoning to the aquatic life.

    • @chud327
      @chud327  Před 4 lety

      Some of the metal we picked up that day was removed. However, I don't know that steel is poisonous and It is really difficult to haul rusty rebar that is 20 feet long. I do appreciate how you take care with you metal detecting and every other magnet video of mine ends up at a trash can. Thanks for watching.

      @no candy Rust kills the ecosystem, but ignorance doesn't comprehend the ecosystem and fine balances. Iron ore has certainly not turned this river red, and therefore any rust is out of place and is toxic.. Look at any red river.. where Iron deposits are common and you notice there isn't an ecosystem.. But again, ignorance doesn't fathom this.
