  • This is a virtual tour of Downtown Phoenix. Starting out on Camelback Rd, then heading south down Central Ave all the way until the heart of downtown Phoenix, Arizona. Downtown Phoenix was originally designed to be like a Manhattan of the West. However due to the proximity to the airport downtown Phoenix does not build very tall skyscrapers.
    Living in Arizona is quite a unique experience because of the vastness that the state offers. From the Sonoran Desert in the south to the high country in the north all the way up towards the Four Corners east and the Grand Canyon in the west. Known as the Grand Canyon state, Arizona is diverse in many ways. The state tree is the Palo Verde, the state cactus is the Saguaro, the state bird is the Cactus wren. If you are thinking about moving to Arizona feel free to subscribe and check us out on our other channels.

    I'm not seeing tent cities or groups of homeless people hanging out like in Los Angeles. So amazing to see a normal metro city and so clean! Thanks for making this video:)

      @Darren Krock the only reason New York is all hustle and bustle is because it all cramped. Phoenix is spread out over *many* miles. It just does not come to an end of small suborn buildings and brown styrofoam houses. Thats just the Phoenix charm.

    • @dirtydinner2432
      @dirtydinner2432 Před 4 lety +4

      Darren Krock You are extremely ignorant if you think that Phoenix doesn’t serve an important function in the economy. The future of our economy is in the Southwest where Solar energy is starting to take off and lithium mining is becoming increasingly important due to the rising popularity of electric cars. NY is going downhill fast, and I’d much rather live in and invest in a city that has the potential to continue growing like Phoenix. There’s a reason so many people are moving here...

    traffic didn't look too bad. man that's a beautiful city. Hopefully i'll move to arizona some day. I've got a couple more years of education, hopefully then i'll be able to see the trends in population growth. I don't want to live in a city that is going to turn into LA in 5 years. I'm hoping enough people are scared of heat to keep them out, or i'll have to Utah it up. I'll try Tucson, that's where the jobs in my field will be if I finish grad school.

Just past San tan flat I believe it’s off to the left of Thompson road. That would be totally cool if you ever have time. I also wonder were all the people are. It isn't just this footage; there is other footage from other videographers where there are no people outside. It seems like a nice metropolitan area in regards to the built and natural environment yet give a deserted vibe in these urban areas. Even Vegas has more people wandering outside among the neighborhoods away from Las Vegas Boulevard.

      In terms of City population alone, yes, it is in fact the 5th largest city. It is very spread out. But this year alone, there are 12 buildings being constructed that are over 20 floors or higher and density is starting to take shape in the inner core. It just needs a more dense inner Central Business District, which it has been working on. There is a lot of investment in downtown Phoenix. They do have two 50+ story buildings in the works for the upcoming year or two. The estimated population in 2020 is about 1,740,000 for Phoenix alone, and the Phoenix Metropolitan Statistical Area has been stated to have just a little over 5,000,000 people.
