    ... as a German Biologist I fellow your work for many years - and applaude to your consistent steady effort. We are in an era of fast transitions - here in Europe - from a long phase of Peace and Prosperity to a fast emerging War that can become a new 30 Year War. The ancient concepts of survival are based on Inner Strength Training - to have the resources to be able to survive conflicts and Wars. In our world - we take anything for granted to get it easily and cheap in abundance. Now we are like a drug addict without the dope. We call it “in Flation” - it is our addicted mind that creates this. We need the ancient techniques of inner Strength ever more urgently. It is a Darwinian selection of those fittest - who have the resources to master the confrontations versus the helpless who will not get help... Thank You! Blessings!

    Wow, very insightful. The first point you make is an exact truth. I struggled for so many years with diet, recently I adopted a full vegan diet and I have to say... I feel better and my awareness during meditation. One of my sad challenges is always that my guru Paramahansa Yogananda died so young and appeared to be unhealthy. As a physician I was always troubled by this. I wondered if Veganism is so healthy and master was so advanced, why did he leave us so soon. Then one day in meditation everything made sense, there was no need to question these things anymore, I was just filled with love and clear direction on how I need to proceed. This peace that came over me, allowing me to relax and stop arguing about things and doubting my faith just dissolved. Hahaha this of course was Master helping me as always to move closer to God. Aum. Peace. Amen

    Thank You for sharing this video with us. You spoke about which foods can be taken. But it will be good if you also mention the "Amount of food to be consumed" ... I know it is very vivid ...dependent upon the culture, body, eating habits etc etc... but still ...at least your opinion about it. E.g. at one place, Babaji has ordered N.T. Neelkanthan to eat two tomatoes as breakfast, curd and rice for lunch and a glasss of milk for dinner. This is very difficult for me to follow. But all I can say is "Eating less and healthy" is the KEY...avoiding the processed and stored food, street food etc.
    Thanks.

  • @alexfrederick-percussion1171

    Thanks for sharing this. I have not yet learned anything about these food combinations. I will check this out. What about HOW one eats? If one is shoving in organic food while in front of the TV, while lecturing someone else how they should not eat meat … probably not a good thing. One thing I try to remember is that digestion begins in the mouth; chew food completely, till it's like apple sauce or liquid! What a difference this made for me.

      You lose a lot of weight. Your wife wishes you don't look like a skeleton. ; ) I've tried all kinds of diets for enough time to get the sense of them. I've come to the conclusion, that if you pay attention to how foods effect your mood, sleep, strength etc, and stick to the foods that support your overall well being, you'll do just fine. No extremes. Good clean unprocessed natural foods.

    If anyone is looking for a substitute for onion -I recommend leeks and the green parts of spring onion and chives. For garlic substitutes I recommend the tips of garlic shoots. I have found these to be mild and since they are live foods they have more Satva growing Prana aka lifeforce

    I think this is a bit short sighted, just because we feel fine doing something now doesn't mean it won't have negative consequences in the future, plus the way we eat drastically affects our environment, I will let you know I am not tolerant of the way you eat if it is destructive to my environment

    I love eating chicken and seafood. :-/ And after I eat it, I feel horrible about it. Like, not horrible in my body, but my mind tries to convince me that I will never realize my authentic self if I continue down this road. I haven't realized if it affects my meditation, because I meditate on an empty stomach early in the morning. I know I should come to my own conclusion about what is right for me, but I just don't know at this point. By the way, I'm a person who would go to any lengths to avoid killing bugs, ants, flies or anything. I think I'm being too fanatical about all of this. What should I do?

    • @KriyaYogaOnline
      @KriyaYogaOnline  Před 6 lety +3

      Either make peace with it and do what you are driven to do, or see a therapist to help you work through the anxieties which are probably just a projection of something deeper that makes you uncomfortable.

      Thank you for replying, Ryan. I am trying to work through these issues. You don't know it, but you have helped me a great deal. Since following your channels (both the kriya yoga and vedic astrology), I have started to learn a lot about myself. I came to know about 'the presence process' through you and the consciously connected breathing has been extremely helpful to me. I am, of course, still a baby when it comes to meditation and spiritual practices, but I'm glad I'm finally on the path that rings true for me. I also know now that I have my saturn and moon together in my birth chart, and that I can actually work through the nagging anxiety that has been the background of my personality since I can remember. I just want to thank you for being a practical spiritual teacher, and not just a 'brilliant' astrologer who makes fatalistic statements.

    Ryan, thank you for your content here on youtube. However to state that your opinion about diet is the absolute "truth" is quite the claim and is ultimately BS. Here is my 'opinion' on this topic: When dietary choices affect the planet and billions of sentient beings then its no longer simply about what serves "you" and your meditation practice! Eating the flesh of another being is the most detestfull and sinful thing any human could do. Meat is the most tamasic and impure food one could possibly consume. Within a vegetarian or, better yet, vegan diet, yes, eat what best suits you. But we has humans have a responsibilty to our planet and fellow earthlings we share this planet with. Self Realization is the highest goal as is living peacefully and righteously.
