For a family with young kids in the 70's & 80's Scarborough had it all and was probably the best family seaside resort in the UK. Still looks like a lovely place with the wonderful beach and grand architecture, but sadly it's missing most of the fun attractions that made it special for kids. I haven't been for 40 years, but to this day it still remains my favourite holiday destination and nowhere else has come close.

So many of the wonderful attractions have now gone, so very sad. Scarborough was so much better in the 70's and 80's. I still love the town though.

cool video my home town where i live. so many thing have appeared and disappeared since this video .i used two love the rocking boats on the beach .and i lived right next to Scarborough mere so i was on the Hispaniola pirate ship digging coins up all the time .as far tourist atractions go theres nothing like whats in this film any more .its all about the council making money .all the cheep fun has gone to make way for big companies to buy the land and charge a fortune .or its just simply left to rot..we still have donkeys though even them aren't 50p any more 2.50p for a stricked 10 meter walk in a circle .

Since this film was made Scarborough has lost....... Marvels funfair and the chairlifts, Watersplash, Kinderland, The Corner complex, The Futurist. P.S. The donkeys are now £3.00 a ride.

Ah the 70's, best decade of my life, when I was a child, and still growing up! Harder times, but simpler times. No mass migration of spongers, no forced jabs, or two tier mass population with the jabbed and un jabbed, decent music, horrid food, but happiness in abundance. Please take me back!!!

That guitar playing is terrible! The odd string swipe is natural, but every single cord change? That's lazy and sloppy playing!
