I remember the reaction to the Jesse James no-catch and subsequent interception. It will live on in sportsball lore.

Teams i know of that are accessible from New Haven (Note that this is primarily based on using Public transit to get around because i don't know anything about driving except when a car is upside down)
    - All NY Area Teams [New Haven Line goes to Yankees-153rd Station for Yankee Stadium, as well as Grand Central, which has direct access to the Port Jefferson Branch (To UBS Arena), MTA Subway Lines 4 and 7 which can get to Barclays (at Bergen St Station on 4) Citi Field (at Mets-Willets Point on 7), and Times Square where one can walk, or transfer to Line 1, 2, or 3 to get to MSG and New York Penn Station, with the latter hosting NJ Transit's NE Corridor and North Jersey Coast Lines which stop near Prudential Center at Newark Penn Station, and connect with the Meadowlands Rail Line at Secasus Junction (The Meadowlands can also be accessed using NJ Transit Route 85 from Hoboken Terminal, which can be accessed from Grand Central by transferring to either the N, Q, R, or W Subway Line at Times Square instead of the aforementioned 1, 2, or 3 lines)]
    - The Bridgeport Islanders [Bridgeport Station (which hosts the aforementioned New Haven Line) has a direct walkway to the parking Garage at Total Mortgage Arena
    - The Hartford Wolf Pack and (To a lesser degree) Yard Goats [Like Bridgeport Station, Hartford Union Station is within walking distance of XL Center and (less so) Dunkin' Park, though the Hartford Line is the way to get here instead of New Haven Line]
    - All Philadelphia Sports Teams [If you go the route that was used to get to Prudential Center (New Haven Line, 7 Subway, 1, 2, or 3 Subway, and NE Corridor) and stay on NE Corridor, you'll eventually end up at Trenton TC where you can transfer to SEPTA's Trenton Line, which connects to the Broad Street Line in North Philadelphia. Once on the BSL, stay on until NRG Station, where you'll immediately be near each of the stadiums which host Philadelphia teams. This may not be something to do regularly though since you have to be at New Haven Union Station in time for a 12:24 PM Departure towards New York in order to get there for a 7 PM game (and that's on weekdays. Weekends may require leaving even earlier)]
    - There is also technically the ability to get to Boston (which would also provide access to Providence), but to to do this requires use of Peter Pan Bus Lines between Springfield (which is accessed from New Haven via the Hartford Line) and Worcester (which provides access to the Framingham/Worcester Line to Boston), with said trip costing $16 (as of looking at the cost at 1:50 AM PST on 8/22/24) and takes almost an Hour [plus it appears to only run the trip once a day, making it potentially even more difficult of a trip to accomplish by transit (especially on a regular basis) than even Philadelphia].
    - Baltimore and Washington DC are also accessible in theroy, but considering you have to leave New Haven at 12:24 PM to get to Philadelphia for a 7 PM game, DC should probably only be considered if you're a fan of one or more of the teams in that area (especially since most of DC's Major Sports teams compete in the same division as Philadelphia and one of NY's teams, with the only exception being the Wizards who play in the Southeast with Charlotte, Atlanta, Orlando, and Miami. Baltimore also has the benefit of their teams playing in the same division as the Jets and Yankees respectively). On top of the longer trip, it takes 2 busses to get between SEPTA's Wilmington/Newark Line in Newark and Maryland's MARC Train in Perryville (that connection being made through the town of Elkton using the Newark Connection and Cross County Routes operated by Cecil Transit).

On the upside, if he sucks really bad this season, the Giants will be in a great position to draft his replacement.

The Giants were idiots to think that David Gettleman was a competent GM. Once the Mannings got in his ear about the wet fart that wished to be a QB (Daniel Jones) going through their training school. It was hook, line, and sinker.
I have this feeling that the Mannings will try to convince the team to draft Archie Manning when they need to draft a QB that can play football and not look like one of the funny segments from America's Home Videos.

Aiyuk was offered a massive bag by New England and said no. Now SF is stuck with him since Pittsburgh offered much less.

When Daniel Jones finally gets released from the Giants, I would say we need to have a moment of Derpness in honor of him but we all know that the Giants will continue to derp regardless, just like the Mets will always be Lolmets

nascar has sucked since the playoff era started (2000-2003 were great and the peak). They took it way too far with the chase, the win and in, stages etc. I haven't watched since 2020
