  • In This Video, I Go Over 21 Tips and Tricks To Improve In MLB The Show 23!
MLB The Show 23 is a baseball video game by San Diego Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, based on Major League Baseball (MLB). It is available on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, as well as Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. The eighteenth entry of the MLB: The Show franchise, it was released on March 28, 2023. Miami Marlins player Jazz Chisholm Jr. is featured as the cover star, while The Captain Edition of the game features retired New York Yankees player Derek Jeter.[1][2]
For the third consecutive year, the Xbox versions of the game are available for Xbox Game Pass subscribers at no additional cost.[3]
    Gameplay
The game includes a new game mode, named Storylines: A New Game Experience. This mode is set to focus on the Negro Leagues. The mode will feature eight players who played in the Negro Leagues, including Jackie Robinson, Buck O'Neil, Satchel Paige, Rube Foster, and more. The mode is a mix of gameplay and narration by Negro Leagues Baseball Museum president Bob Kendrick, highlighting moments from that player's career. For every new launch of MLB The Show, there would be a new season, featuring different players who also played in the Negro Leagues. These players would also become regular players in the other modes of the game.[4][5]
Other changes included Core Seasons in Diamond Dynasty, which would allow for 99 overall players to be obtained from day one, which take place every 6-8 weeks. For every new Core Season, only the players featured on that and the previous season can be used in Ranked and Conquest. This, however, wont affect other game modes in Diamond Dynasty such as Play vs CPU. Another new addition is Captain Cards, in which once a certain tier requirement is met for that Captain Card player, it would boost your team significantly. Proper two-way play was also implemented in this release; this makes it possible for players such as Shohei Ohtani to be used as both a starting pitcher and as a true designated hitter

Learned a lot in this video from setting defenses and seeing the hitters and pitchers tendencies on things like what they like to throw on 1st pitch. Great video on the micros

How do I get my defence to have the diamond badge instead of the bronze silver or gold etc. I have 99’s with silvers and gold out there in their main position. Any help would be appreciated!

Hey Chris, love your videos on Mlb the show . It has improved my game ! One thing im still strugging on is how to get good timing on the ball, even when im recognizing the pitch. For example, should i start swinging the bat when the ball is about half way from the mound to the plate ? If that make sense

I do timing hitting too and the harder the level you play on, the more the pitchers play to the baggers weaknesses and they really come in yoir kitchen with fastballs and sinkers; if they have them from 94 to 98 mph

Does anyone how pitch hitters work? Everytime I play someone will sub their 84 gold in the 7-9 spot for Ohtani, but I’m never able to sub in the Ohtani card or any good batters

I have a question, i am from germany and i wonder why basemen always tagging the runner...is this a rule to tag them while sliding or can they just stay on base while runner is running to the next base?

Not sure if you ever figure this out or not. but incase you didn’t, a baseman can just put his foot on the bag to get the out of the runner is forced to go to that base, such as if a runner is going to second because the batter hit a ground ball. They have to tag the runner if they aren’t forced, like if someone is stealing base.
