Peter Biegelbauer: Populists are indicators that something doesn't work in a democracy

    PD Dr Peter Biegelbauer is a Senior Scientist at the Center for Innovation Systems & Policy of the Austrian Institute of Technology in Vienna. He focuses on policy-related work in fields such as research, technology, industry and innovation policy. He coordinated many national and international research projects, including the EU project Co-Change (2020-2023) on ethical aspects of innovations in the field of artificial intelligence. He will address this issue at this year's symposium. Biegelbauer has written more than 100 articles and books on the topics mentioned above. In the field of political science, he holds a habilitation from the Austrian University in Innsbruck, a doctorate from the University of Vienna and a Master's degree from MIT.
