God loves you. The issue is that you don't love him . God gives you that "free will" to love him and follow his precepts or not. Since you don't want to be in his care, it would be unloving to force you into his presence forever. So, he has another place for you. His place is a perfect place and only the perfect can enter. Your place has imperfect people in it who do not want to be perfect. It is called hell and you may be spending eternity there since you have an eternal spirit that does not want to be with God. You read 2 Peter 3:9 out of context and attribute all to every single person rather than all of His elect. This letter is to the saints and Peter lets them know that our LORD
GOD is longsuffering to towards us, to them, the church, His elect. THAT GOD is not willing that any of His people whom He has ordained to eternal life should perish.

Yes indeed. I know many good Christians who are devoted to Jesus and lost a child, got cancer, had terrible accidents, etc. Just like those who mock him.

Just because they’re disciplining them doesn’t mean all of a sudden their love disappears.

My Dad started a chemical company by himself. 7 years later talking to my mother he was complaining about something and my Mom said you should be thankful. He replied to her that God had nothing to do with it. Later he lost his company and became a very sinful man. He got Loui body dementia and died in two weeks after the Doctor found he had it.
