Thanks Andy really informative video...
Very welcome
TYSM for this 2023 revised version. I appreciate it. The course I had on Udemy was a bit dated and the U.I was wayy older.
You’re very welcome 👍
Great video, finally I've found someone that goes through the app and explains where to do what, and how all these things work. Other videos I've seen so far were only a powerpoint-like presentations about what AAD is and what it's for but without presenting it in action whatsoever.
Thanks and I’m glad to have you on board 👍
Thanks

Thank you for the content. So far I've watched 3 videos and to be honest this channel for me the best specially for beginners. Hoping for your good health so you can create more useful content. Again, Thank you
Thanks very much. I appreciate that 👍
The way I was like, oh sh-- this is looking overwhelming, and you immediately commented not to feel overwhelmed !
At first glance, it’s easy to be overwhelmed, but take a deep breath and look at the different rules, and then you realise you only need to focus in on the role that you need to implement.
Excellent video !!
Andy you probably have done a video about how to setup a Conditional Access for Azure for example if someone is traveling outside our zone means outside the USA we give them “All Cloud” based applications access until they back to main zone ..
How to setup that’s great appreciated in case you have one!
❤Love your channel so much to learn in short and quick!!
Thank you very much. Yes, I have done a number of conditional access videos, check out my identity playlist and I think you find that there is something there for you. 👍
@@AndyMaloneMVP
Yes I found it many thanks 🙏
That was great overview I must say to start with, will be looking for more soon
There are many more related topics in my identity playlist :-)

@@youknowme6780 you need to sleep my friend😊 I’ll still be here tomorrow. Do me a favour I’ve just added Hindi subtitles to my copilot video. Take a look and give me your opinion 👍

Thank you Andy.
Do you have any videos about AAD app proxy and in particular, how to allow 3rd party APIs with MFA?
Let me see what I can do
can you go into environments like dev, uat, QA etc
Do you have a video on joining Workstations to Azure AD and is there a way to manage them? I am late to the game, in moving AD to the cloud. Watched 2 of your videos. THANK YOU! Very well done. Thanks, Perry
I’ll add it to my list 👍
I wish you had a video going over md102 test. What you need to know and demo showing instructions.

Hi Andy, I have been working with Microsoft Technology for over 20+ years. I have an MCSE from 2000 including SMS/SQL. I want to update my certifications to be more relevant for working with Azure, M365 Admin, and Power Platform. I also have a strong SQL Dba background including Managing Windows/SQL servers (the old way) and more recently also got into Dataverse and related power apps (model-driven and canvas apps). So with that in mind which learning path from Microsoft would you recommend for a Tech Manager Role but with strong tech skills?
Congratulations on your long career. I know how you feel 😊 I would love to advise you on a development route for your skills. The best resource is learn.microsoft.com here you want to look at the various certification paths. These include administration, operations, development, and the very hot topic of AI and machine learning. I wish you a great success and all the best, Andy
What distinguishes the admin center roles from the Azure roles? Is it merely better control? Does the admin role that a user has been given in Azure appear in the admin center?
Thank you for your videos! They have been a great learning tool for me as a new IT technician.
I believe the roles are similar but AAD allows you to go more granular and allows you to do PIM. Please correct me if I'm wrong, Andy.
There are many Azure roles in addition to ever creasing number of security and compliance rules. All designed so that you can create a defence in-depth strategy. This insures that no one admin has too much Power.

I've been unable to access Azure active directory from Chrome or Edge, they keep saying JavaScript disabled.
However, i have JavaScript enabled for both browsers.
What might be the problem?
Sounds like it’s either your privacy settings or cookies in your browser. Let’s start their
That little moment at 4:57 when you were about to say that Microsoft is responsible for the 'manip'(ulation) of your data and just so corrected to maintenance, has - of course - a german term: "Freud'scher Versprecher"
Don’t be paranoid you have control of your data
That was a great one....can you please guide us which topic of azure AD should we cover when invited for an interview of office 365 support.
Sure I'll see what I can do.
@@AndyMaloneMVP stay blessed and happy smile like rainbow in the sky....
Usually I see IaaS used as the abbreviation for Infrastructure as a Service, IDaaS is used as Identity as a Service. Good vid overall but you might want to change that part to keep it consistent.
You are correct, this was a typo.
Am very new to this. Is Microsoft entra Id and Azure AD same.
Yes, they are. It was a marketing rename 👍
Great session Andy. When you mentioned the 5:1 ratio in regard to external users you meant that for every licensed user there may be 5 guest users, correct?
This is correct, but not with business basic
Hi Andy Nice Video ,One doubt if we create multiple outlook accounts on my laptop, can we continue using azure resources free beyond one month trial period for learning purposes.
Short answer. No. Beyond 30 days you can extend for a further 30 days with a credit card for ID. But after that it would become read only for another 30 days and then be deleted. You can have multiple accounts though. HOWEVER! I believe MS are cutting back on these so in time there may be limitations.
@@AndyMaloneMVP thanks for the reply Andy
👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍
What version of O365 do i need to get access to the admin tools?
Minimum is business standard or premium and E3 or E5 subscription
as long as you pay :) I use this video to fear the people that want to go to the cloud :D
Whatever floats your boat 😂🤣
Hello sir please do the window server complete tutorial help for so many people I'm waiting for your new videos window server
Hi, thanks for the feedback. I’ve done numerous service sessions in the past. Have you checked out my playlists? The problem with old tech is that to be honest I don’t get many views. However, are there any specific elements that you wish me to cover?
How it's connected with Active Directory?
Entra ID connect (Azure AD connect)
Yes thanks I know, but where to find details how to connect classic AD to Entra ID, I could not find video on your channel about it@@AndyMaloneMVP
headsup! identity as a service is "IDaaS" not "IaaS" i think, i might b wrong since im very new to this but IaaS usually mean Infrastructure as a service (one of the 3: IaaS, PaaS and SaaS when discussing Cloud service). if im wrong please delete my comment and publicly shame me :) (english is not 1st language as u might tell also)
I know that was whoopsie from a long time again 😂
That’s not a house, that’s a MANSION!
You must’ve grown up in a very nice neighborhood 😂
I wish … Hehe that’s not my house 🤣😂

What's horrible is Microsoft give you 30 days to learn job related skills. No way can you learn everything you need to know from just reading their training material. So you have to go through their labs too and very quickly run out of time. Then you left partly knowing something.
If you start a new job using Azure you have to learn on the job. Often employers will teach you some on-prem info that Microsoft no longer considers a priority.
Information and knowledge is being lost.
You can pay more for longer access
I work with data.
For a premium Fabric licence just for a premium licence would be £276 p/m.
That said I'm not well versed in their licensing model, not a lot of people are.
Thank you
Thanks
