I wonder what the FED’s long-term plan is moving forward. I know they discussed the importance of bringing inflation down for the average American. But their actions recently seem to contradict that earlier sentiment. Average Americans are still being beaten down by inflationary pressures which makes me hesitant to consider their actions a success so far.

All what you are saying may be correct. Did you see how much money today alone went to buying and selling garbage like Gamestop? When the reserves are really only enough the money wouldn't be available to this kind of a total unproductive things! FED has so far created way too many excess reserves that are not needed to a sound economy. Don't you think that money should get invested in a totally innovative and productive parts of the economy. That happens when only when stupid activity is not rewarded only.
