I am in the UK, it installed, but it would not play anything, but after opening and closing the app a few times, I turned vpn off and back on a few times and suddenly it plays everything, no side bar menu, but great result, thank you, very pleased👍👍👍👍👍
Hiya Kev I'm in the UK Merseyside what did you do to get the Channel to play and do you need a VPN running constantly whilst watching the Channel or just when you switch it on..?? I been using Roku on my Philip Roku TV for 2 years. Its great. But I only found 7 channels out of 100s worth watching. Between local, Pluto, and Roku I'm ok.

Last night I watched a few shows on Roku Channel. Encountered a few with ads. The commercials were not that long and were relatively innocuous.
no level of ads are acceptable.

Here's what we like about cable is the menu and the E-Z guide. Amazon fire stick, Apple TV,
Not sure about Roku they don't have guides that come up on the screen like the cable. We like a guide on the screen like what cable offers. Otherwise, it's feels like you're blindfolded and you just pick any random program and waste your time.

Hi, thank you for this video. May I ask you why didn't you explain that it can also be installed directly via the Amazon app store? Is this a different version than the one that is already available? I am asking because that would truly be no muss, no fuss, instead of fiddling with the downloader app. In addition, if installed via the app store, it would be available via the cloud even if the firestick is replaced by another one.
I usually do, it must have been cut in editing. I did say it in the video's description though : "Application is available in the Amazon App Store in the Unites States. "
I purchased one after watching your video last week or so.
followed you step by step, downloader to install. It came up looked good. Click on something to watch and all I get is the white circle that goes round and round. Wait wait wait then it stops and nothing. Just a blank screen. I went back to the main menu three times and got the same results.

Hello Chord Cutters , I am very happy with the Holu application. The small problem when you click to watch a movie, it says that it is not available, then it says play back. It takes a while to kick in the movie.

Your application the Roku channel, is not accessible with voice view, I’m fully blind, and I use voice view to navigate around my Firestick, your application is not accessible with voice view, it reads some parts of guides, but it doesn’t read the other half of the screen. If you could please help out that will be appreciate it.

How do I add a channel to ROKU on Firestick? I have Roku added to my Firestick, Gen. 4, signed in to Roku, added channel but it does not show up on Firestick. Said it was in "educational" category, but I don't even have that category on my Roku app on Firestick.

The Canada version ( where I live) only gets a quarter of that content.
I used my FireStick search for Roku app. Clicked GET and then INSTALL. LESS THAN one minute the app was up and running. Did not install any extra fluff that eats up memory. Did not have to search for an IP address, etc. I realize you may have more content tools to add. I don’t think I need them. Nice video, though! Thank you!

So, I followed your exact directions twice to make sure i wasn't missing anything. I also double checked my VPN - it is Dallas.
1. After installation, its asking to set up an account.
I did try that - keep getting "playback error"
2. Went to the app, cleared data, force stop - tried again. Still dame issue - "playback error".
3. Uninstalled the app & tried again, still same issue.
Is there anything else I can try?
