i feel that downey could definitely portray dooms personality really well but im a little unsure about the whole villain part of it. I hope that the heroes thay fight doom have some conflicting thoughts about fighting a man that looks like another man that was so important to them.
It’s definitely NOT Tony turning into Doctor Doom as some theories suggest. As the announcement said, he’s playing Victor Von Doom. Not just Doctor Doom. I think it’s likely a body swap situation where Doom defeats Stark and takes his body/mind in an alternate timeline and uses that added skill to invade the multiverse. I can’t remember the exact storyline, but that has been done in the comics as well
It’s shit, they should cast a completely different person. Robert Downey Jr. is already someone in the MCU so they’re gonna have to do a lot of explaining to really get that one through.
With this new fantastic four movie hopefully they’ll explain how Rdj is doom when he’s iron man, maybe when he snapped his fingers he went to a different universe and time traveled, ..
