Can you explain the difference in an Engraving Pass and a Clean Pass? Is there a setting specifically for Clean Pass?..Sorry, I am a newbie to fiber Lasers
So question.. I’m doing a deep 3D engraving… and no matter what I put the settings at after maybe 10-20 passes it goes to a tiny little dot that takes 30+ minutes to run over the engraving doing apparently nothing before it starts engraving again… why???? ?????
Is this machine using a motorized Z axis? I ask because I see it's engraving on a slightly curved surface so it should be going in and out of focus with a 150mm lens on that curve if it is not using a motorized Z axis...
It depends on the size of the gun, a glock 19 slide is over a little over 7 inches so a 200mm lens would work best for that size. Settings wouldn't be much different. I did 500 speed, 97 power, 35 frequency line distance 0.010 - 0.005. Snake hatch. Clean pass: 2400 speed, 35 power, 80 - 100 frequency, line distance 0.025 bidirectional hatch, how many passes is dependent on how deep you want it.
@@reubenperez9241 How many passes of the main engraving setting before you run the clean up pass? For example, you end up running a total of 40 passes, of those 40, how often should you run a clean up pass? Every 10 passes? Or?? Thank You!

Engraving pass is with big power, clean pass is with low power to clean the surface.

You can try a few passes deepth, then a few passes cleaning.
