With all due respect to Michael Bolton, for me this is definitely a case where Tommy upgraded the song, as he often does. Vocally better and much more impactful, at least from my pov. Edit: definitely check out Tommy's Swedish Pagans Disneyton cover where he mashed up music from this song and lyrics from Sabaton's Swedish Pagans, but see Sabaton's original first if you did not see it

Dude I've watched a few of your vids and was wondering if you would try an Aussie progressive melodic metal band with dual vocals,dual rhythm /lead guitars ,unbelievable drumming,incredible bass and last but not least a magical distorted violin. NeObliviscaris : Forget Not or Devour Me Colosses. Or some Opeth: Ghost of Perdition live at Red Rocks. The mixing and production on these bands is phenomenal! You hear all elements of the compositions ! To me that's necessary for a true rollercoaster ride filled with eargasms! Thanks brother.

I liked Tom guitar because I like guitar but orchestra is probably better for a big Disney movie. Mike was in his element as a soul singer and he conveyed a sense of longing.
That being said I think Tom's more upbeat more hopeful sound is better for kids but it wouldn't do as well in the Oscar running. But while the credits are rolling, I don't think the kids are paying attention.
I heard somewhere Tommie also plays the drums too I could be totally wrong on that if he does he's never played on his videos and yeh pretty lame for Michael Bolton he can do better but Tommie nailed it God bless
Yes he does, he was even a drummer in 2 bands, Charlie Shred and Lost Rockers. You can see him drumming in his old cover of Thunder Rising from 12 years ago (it's on his channel) and there is 1 live recording of a Charlie Shred performing. In his covers he uses plug ins because he can't fit a drum kit in his apartment right now
Michael Bolton don't have the same power in he's voice as Tommy have. I vote for Tommy here ❤️🤘
Sorry Mr. Bolton, but this was boring in comparison to Tommy's version....And the guitar solo was much more better...Swedish pagans win...
