I think so too. I always wish it would go on longer. It stops too soon for such a great groove and feeling that this song conveys. And her voice is so good on it. It’s almost the sixties anthem. Feed your head! I thought she was singing Free your Head for the longest time.

Exactly, the whole song is just so unique it's hard to cover it properly, but them notes make it extra hard because there's no time to breath and often people breath irregularly so we push the air too quickly instead of holding it and releasing it slowly.

This is a hard ass song to pull off despite regular notes because the structure of the song doesn't give you time to breathe and very few singers have the stamina to pull something like this with the regular resonance from high note to high note.

True, she wasn't always on her game - but I think she sounds great here. I saw her in 1976 when she couldn't seem to sing at all. Then I saw her in 1998 and she sounded great again. All you want to do is live. All you want to do is give but somehow - it all falls apart.

As an old Jefferson Airplane fan, nice to to see a mid 80's Grace doing this song well(meaning she wasn't stoned or drunk), some versions over the years were... well, you get the idea lol. But , she was definately in good form on this night, Glad there is footage of it!
Grace sang it with an ever increasing urgency, that climaxed into desperation...all the while matching the cadence with what appeared to be unlimited horsepower in her voice,, feeding the vocal delivery...Doing that planted the seeds for what became the true ode to the "psychedelic generation" and a timeless classic.. Shame that a lot of people were never aware of the quality in her voice..
