      I was thinking the same thing. He's aged a little over the years. He just looks slimmer here.

    I love the whole Metal Evolution series big time. The Thrash Metal episode is easily my favorite. Testament has been one of my favorite bands for over thirty years, and I am a bigger fan now than I have ever been. I was a little kid barely 10 years old when Testament put out their debut album The Legacy and I loved it big time and still do. Paul Bostaph can say that he sucked at one time playing the drums, but there is a reason why he replaced Dave Lombardo two times to be Slayer's drummer because he is a phenomenal drummer. Alex Skolnick to me is the best lead guitar player in Thrash Metal. He was already a guitar hero when Testament put out their debut album, and he was still a teenager. Great interview!!!!

    • @Assimilator702
      @Assimilator702 Před 4 lety +4

      Hannoverfist Keep in mind most of the Testament riffs were written by Peterson. Eric Peterson is the identity and soul of Testament along with Chuck Billy. Skolnick provides the embellishment that completes the package.

    • @butchvito
      @butchvito Před 4 lety +5

      Yeah, Eric Peterson writes most of Testament's riffs. Alex is the "lead" man.

    • @JPeeper
      @JPeeper Před 4 lety +1

      Eric wrote like 90% of Testament riffs.

    • @johnkatsoudas4767
      @johnkatsoudas4767 Před 3 lety

      Alex is a phenomenal lead guitar player, but Eric Peterson is the one that wrote the majority of the guitar riffs in Testament. Eric is actually a very good lead guitar player also, but many don't notice because Alex Skolnick in my opinion is the greatest lead guitar player in Thrash Metal music.

    Thrash: Hard working. You're part of a team. Exciting time changes. That solid right-hand riffing! You can be as ugly as sin. Usually minutes of music before the singing kicked in! High tops. Killing poseurs. Levi's red tabs super slim or sweatpants. JCM 800's. Chinese food. Long hair. What else
