really good breakdown. i worked my way backward from 2016 and now have a couple of bottles of one of the first batches. prefer the first formulation over everything after but like yourself performance is good on every bottle i've tried.

It does not matter what batch code you get. Don't fall into this money trap. They're all great and smell great. If you let it sit for many years it will macerate and have a stronger oil concentration due to alcohol evaporation

Quick question does the 2010 bottle cap come hollow and made from metal ?

I don't have caps for them. They're testers. But yes they have wider, thicker atomisers

It doesn't suck but there was definitely a massive decline in the quality of La Nuit De L'Homme after 2017. New bottles still perform quite well but don't project as well, have around one and a half to two hours worse longevity and are a lot lighter and transparent. I'd search for first formulation/thick and flat atomiser bottles, bottles from 2013 or earlier and 38N batches
