If y'all wanna know what counters scary monsters, pick up six pistols. The improved dash can help you escape before they start fossilization, He generally has good damage, and when the enemy's in dino form, their hitbox becomes large enough to pick of with just firing the gun, which does great damage. On top of that the new Metal Silver Overdrive keeps them pretty much still, which makes the firing part even easier.

Some tips as someone who plays sm to beat sm:
4/5 moves are blockable and 3/5 are cancellable.
Bait out fossil move, it has tons of endlag and is free combo
Block tail whip but release block immediately to get free m1
You can dodge birds like go beyond bubble so you dont need to block
No ts resistance or counters
White album counters birds and does ridiculous damage with the projectile bounce back
Dont block the leap or dino dash
Dino barrage in dino mode has a more windup time than a normal beatdown, use it to get ready to pb or tp away
Just put pressure on them and you likely will win, dont try and play attrition. A drawn out match is what they want because they can stall for heals with minions
Imagine how strong sticky fingers is gonna be after rework
3 bd moves
10 heal moves with 10 sec CD
5 block bypassing and un parrible auto aiming projectiles that spawns zippers on enemy body and gives him -200% defense
Probably gonna have a beatdown, 2 stuns each lasting 5 seconds, every move does like a quarter of your health.

Infu and everyone seeing this comment, there is a nice feature/bug I found with dino clones. It's pretty much like the zombies you can get with vampirism. Which means, you can get boss dinos (dinos with stands) by killing a boss.
Edit- it’s a feature. And also they only become dinosaurs if they have 3 🦠’s

The animation of the stand on its moves are great also the combo potential and damage but the problem with it it if you enemy that have a strong internet and knows how to use the f key then your scary monster is useless

Use to main old sm with boxing I like how simple it was back the rework is cool and all but I still miss old sm
They should add like standoff moves cuz the hybrid that doesnt share cooldowns with the full form is too op
honestly, I think every stand should get that crisp animation and effects the new ones have,
like kc using time erase has the world crumble like in the anime
or for ts stands have the screen freeze for non ts users instead of just freezing the world, so you don't see or hear anything going on

I think that's what AUT got right from the start, its one of the reasons I prefer it these days.
Animators and modelers decide to remodel TW 10 times a day instead of remaking effects or doing stand reworks. We're not seeing every move in game being same quality as SM for at least 5 years now...
I feel like the only thing Uzu would have to do to balance Scary Monsters would be: just make both forms share cooldowns. Literally the only reason why it can do an above half HP combo is just because the forms don’t share cooldowns, so if Uzu changed that it would REALLY help Scary Monsters’ balance.

great vid also a oneshot combo: hamon charge ( optional ) > tail whip > dino barrage v1 > zoom punch > fossilization > transform into dino > minion > barrage ( a bit ) > tail whip > dino dash
( you can add a luck & pluck, a metal silver, a scarlet, a sendo or a dino barrage v2 between zoom punch and fossilization )

Funni pluck combo: Z(pluck) > tail whip > dino barrage x1 > Fozzilation > transform into full form > dino army (f form)> tail while (f form) > dino barrage(f form)> dino dash (f form). You can spam Fozzilation of F from after the combo which leads to following moves: V pluck > Z pluck > H pluck> B pluck> tail whip(weak form) > dino barrage x2.
i dont think tail whip full form has enough stun to confirm dino barrage
