03 Jul 2024: Popcorn Salmon brings the bears to Brooks (explore.org)

This was the first day with a large salmon run, feeding all the bears and eagles until all were full. These salmon are primarily Chinook/King Salmon which are protected and not part of the salmon escapement counts. Also seen in the river are the Graylings, a trout species with a tall sail shaped fin.
