I've been shooting photography most of my adult life. It started with an on sale Nikon D3200 that wasn't even interested in using, all the way through being a photography business owner, teacher, and CZcams Photography Content Creator.
My favorite subjects are Human Portraits and Shallow Depth of Field with my specialty, or claim to fame if you will, being Dramatic Nude and Bodyscape. Over my many years of photography I've mastered many genres but I never stop learning and I don't want you to stop either. That's why I started my CZcams Channel in the year 2020. After a hiatus from photography, I picked up my camera again just in time for the Covid Pandemic. The world shut down. With more time than ever and no humans to photograph I found myself bored but motivated. ZWade Photo, the CZcams Channel, was born.
I have always been a Nikon brand photographer, but in my community on CZcams there is limitless room for Canon, Sony, Fuji, Leica, Hasselblad, Nikon, AND any other brand, photographers. I already have the Sigma 135mm f1.8 art F mount so with the ftz adapter it works fine on my Z5. Do not want to invest too many in Z mount lenses because the Z5 is my only mirrorless camera. Still got a load of Nikon dslr's I still use. But great lens for sure.

Thanks for this. Your 'boring' test shots, show both the capabilities of the lens and your capacity to make a boring subject interesting, through good light and framing. Now I just need to kidnap some oil baron's heir so I can afford one.

Z Wade you ARE art. A real piece of work. I am pulling your chain mang! This is a good review. I love the output of the Plena and am considering it for future purchase after I get some other lenses on my list checked off. I agree with the 85 vs the 135 in terms of studio usefulness. However, I am waiting to see if Nikon comes out with a Z 105 f/1.4 That could virtually give me what I need without buying the 85 and 135. Have a great weekend mang! - Jim

The images people produce with it are SO Striking! Gotta recover from the last bout of GAS before taking the plunge. The 135 mm, f1.8 Plena is another landmark Nikkor lens. Its output makes a clarion statement about who Nikon is as a first tier optics company.
