Awesome to the see the attention to detail in both the model and the ship's performance in game. The V wing is definitely showing its relation to the TIE
I picked one of these up the day it released. I'm super excited to use it
Use a box cutter and cut around the plastic on 3 sides at the base close to the box and just flip it open. The plastic is pretty soft to cut through.
He used to do it like that before all the time.

Oh, I didn’t even think about the fact that most everyone has a TIE accessible ship/upgrade now. As a primarily imperial player that kinda makes trying other factions more intriguing!

Got my first xwing mini model yesterday (z95 headhunter, in readiness for the core set that my mother in law is getting me for Christmas). I am so glad to see I am not alone in my very poor attempt at getting into the box 🙂
Design of those boxes is terrible. Maybe Atomic mass will change them into something more usable.
@@templar684 always bugs me how easy it would be to make packaging that can also be used to store games/miniatures (prebuilt). Obviously wouldnt work for legion/wh40k where assembly is essential, but xwing could bring in boxes that are easy to open/close, stackable in standard Storage boxes and would reduce packaging waste.

I’d love to see better packaging when AMG take over, easier to open, maybe a nice insert to keep the miniatures in along with the cards but I’m guessing that will just inflate cost per mini

Star Wars has always been at the forefront of "making toys that struggle to keep their value" - the fact that everyone lost the little missile that came with the old Boba Fett toy is a famous example, same with the ejector seat in old James Bond toys.
I first saw these little card squares in TMNT toys in the 90s, far as I can tell their sole purpose is to be something that most kids will throw away, thus making the 'pristine collectors market' a little more reliant on official vendors.

Now the Republic needs the Headhunter next or a ship that has more than two attack dice. The Republic should not have gotten a second medium base ship, They do not have a large base ship. What do you all think a good large base ship for the Republic should be?
