(Particularly the food staff) I've worked for several restaurants and we would receive things like pickles or other vegetables/foods in FOOD GRADE buckets. :) There restaurant would just toss them after they were done using them. I'm sure your local restaurants would love for there buckets to go somewhere to be used. Good luck everyone! :)

Thanks for the admittedly almost 10 year old video! This is going to be the next step in my homegrowing empire of madness. I got a big bag of Russets from Wally World and took my sweet time getting around to baking them. Finally got at it last night (about two weeks after buying) and found them covered in eyes, with some ridiculously big. I baked all but the ones with the biggest eyes. Going to take one or two of those and see if I can get a plant to go.

I grew some potatoes many years ago. I basically did what you did but in the garden. I chose a few potatoes from the bag, cut each one in half, so there were eyes on each half. Rubbed them in the soot from the chimney, popped them in the garden, eyes "up" and had about 4-5 pounds of potatoes from each half. I was very proud and they tasted lovely.
Thank you for your video it gave me better ideas for this year.

I also have a tomato plant growing, am re-growing lettuce from store bought, and cultivating yeast for bread baking, since I can't buy any in stores now, in April 2020. Now is a great time for people to grow what they can whether you live in an apartment or house.
