People would stop to watch him and his co-workers (who also would later become members of the group Dru Hill) singing and making fudge like it was a mini concert. He was probably 15 or 16 at the time but he had the same voice then that he has now so you just had to go see who that was singing like that. Great to see how successful he has been, doing something that he has clearly loved his entire life.

These types of singing competitions don't benefit actual singers, especially in Sisqo's case because everything he did was upbeat and fun. Not to mention 2 of the judges and most fans had him figured out immediately. The types who advance and win these are usually the ones who tug on the heart strings and aren't known as singers.
