I wouldn’t excuse the Harvard students. I wasn’t that stupid in college and nobody I knew at college and it wasn’t Harvard. I’m a retired college professor. Sure a number of students were immature but I never had students like this and I had about 400 students per semester.
The real question that needs asking, is why does one group, that’s such a small percentage of the population, control so much? Why are they the only group that cannot be criticized?

I say, it’s all good. It goes both ways, so Yep put their names out. Because they love tearing people down may be a little taste of what it’s like will shake up the rest of them. Wasn’t that the idea with January 6 the worst day since Pearl Harbor. To scare the rest of us into submission and not ask any questions. Or Covid or whatever it is. So let these kids live in the world that they’ve created. Reap it.

What were the arguments for it, where we stood, what we'd do differently, etc. It was really fun and it was the best way to do it. Then we presented it to the class and tried to argue our point against all of them. It was great!

Contra to Adam's not so subtle wisecrack, she is not on the list because she is a black woman. These GGOAT lists are ridiculous anyway because musical genre is not considered. Jimi Hendrix (a great, influential rock guitarist of whom I am a fan) is not "better" than Chet Atkins, Wes Montgomery, Tommy Emmanuel, or 20 other players I could name. 4-way stop vs 2-way. You need to know which is which. If you’re completely stopped at what you think is a 4-way, you see a car approaching from the right, you may pull out because you know they will have to stop. If you don’t know it’s a 2-way, you could get creamed. Even if you’d stopped properly.

There is no "best" guitarist since it's subjective,more a matter of personal preference than anything. Every player on that list is the best at what they do. There's no comparing EVH to Clapton (EVH's major influence BTW) to Satch to Zappa to G. Lynch to SRV to Becker to Page etc.etc. since their styles are as unique as a fingerprint. It's a matter of taste, popularity,and considering the source here, muh diversity. If you're talking who's the most influential,that's debatable IMO. Best,that's an opinion.
